All i know about CW from my small output leds is they give a cold lonely feel over NW. But who knows with these levels of output.

The blue box reminds me of something you see with high end headphones. Good on em, going for that limited edition feel. Is it velvet or something? Personally id like a stainless case mirror polished with a fine subtle brushed look.

To my eyes the front view of the reflector looks gorgous on the r90 series.

Would be good if imalent offered custom colours. For a light like these.

What a beauty. Looks like easier to access the fan now.
I wonder the new battery pack can be used on MS12 and even R90C?

cool i'll see you when you get there

The battery packs are different diameters, so it is unlikely.

I looks like they have adapted a copper CPU cooler for the light. Good move. Thumbs Up

In the IWA prototypes we counted 4 heat pipes in the heatsink.

Looks alot better than the MS12. I just wish they would release NW version during release and it will be perfect for me.

Ya most likely not.
That’s not good for customer who bought their older products. Imalent should standardize their battery pack, should save their cost in long term too. Who want to buy their old battery pack now?

cool i'll see you when you get there

Interest List closes SOON!!

Due to very limited stock vs. high demand I will send the final price only to people on the list.
Only who mails me to buy 100 % for the offered price immediately will get on a new list from where I randomize the order (if needed) who will get a code tomorrow to buy from the first batch. the others can place a pre-order after that (when supply is confirmed)

I literally shouted out loud in the office when the notification popped up that I could place my order.

Now I can’t wait for it to ship. I’ve been scouting places I can go to take pictures.

Oh it’s bad. I’ve bought a couple cameras, learned how to use adobe premiere pro, and am even saving-ish for a drone, mainly for flashlight photography because my cell phone camera just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

Don’t worry, it will get better and then get worse again. It is never ending cycles. Just focus on all the fun we get from all these gadgets.
That is very good idea to use drone for flashlight beamshots. A lot of learning and work to do, of course money is one main factor too.

Really? I thought with the massive amperage they would use the 30T.

Yeah. Samsung 40Ts at 35A+ is really not sustainable.

30Ts would’ve been much better.

Battery packs are 4s2p, 35a cells will be plenty.

If the leds need 200 amps at 6v, that is 50A per cell.

It looks like the 40T data sheet says it can do 45A continous, but only up to 80°C. So short duration 45A is okay.

Maybe the 40T is fine since max turbo on this light is pretty short and the cells should not overheat in that short period.

Are they not running these LEDs at 12v? If they are running at 6v that is some pretty heavy buck at play considering the battery packs are 16.8v

I actually said that the 35A+ required by the light at full power are not good for the cell at all.

30Ts would’ve been quite a bit better.

Also, I doubt it’s using a buck. Starting with the MS12, 10k+ lumens go out the window in terms of regulation.

They are basically running in direct drive.

I don’t know how they are running them. I used 6v as an example.

200A@6v
400A@3v
100A@12

The batteries see the same 50A each.

If the LEDs are run at 12v, then they only need half the amperage vs. if they are run at 6v. So at 12v, it would only draw 25a per cell

That image says 40T for the R90TS. I assume the MS18 uses the same?
