That’s the only tint that at least I know about the 3V XHP50.2 comes in.

Don't think it is possible at this point. Different manufacturer.

It looks kinda cheap and not like the original concept.

Something about the look – the details, the finish, especially that large criss-cross knurling pattern – says to me “cheap Aliexpress light” rather than an Astrolux.

But perhaps it is just a bad photo. I will wait and see.

An inexpensive flashlight does not have to look cheap.

I guess you are not a native English speaker? “Cheap” can have different meanings depending on context.

The large-pattern diamond knurling (and some other details) makes this light “look cheap”. We have seen many less expensive flashlights which do not have a “cheap” look. In my opinion of course, looks are subjective.

I live in Sweden no we dont speak english as native last time i checked, clearly u dont think outside box so not gonna bother anymore..

I have to admit that it is partially my fault, for not being able to identify critical changes made in their recent CAD drawings until today. cry

How the rest of the members feel? Are you guys fine with the final look or you guys think that there is a need for refinement?

I'm ok with the big pineapple pattern on the body, that's ok. The head to body ratio and the head design overall doesn't really attract me. In contrast, let's take a similarly overall gross shape, the Manker U12, that's looking dang nice, got one as soon as I've found out that they've revised it to take 21700 cells instead of the 20700. That was keeping me from buying one for quite a while.

Overall, this Astrolux is looking too bland and has details, lines where it could very well do without.

Tail cap doesn't look anything very fit, but also not too bad, it's just ok. I'd make it a tad slanted/bigger towards the end and with only 5 or 3 slanted and more pronounced cuts and more rounded. Anyways, let's say that the Astrolux FT02 it's looking quite nice, the nicest of the bunch.

Interested Thank You.

I am fine with the way it is.

Does it have a lighted switch?

I’d think they would want to make it look better for their own sales. I’m fine with it either way.

It needs refinement, I liked the first design better, any chance for a less orange peel reflector?

I like the Fireflies E01 design, wish it had a charging port and a reflector option.

Not a fan of pineapple knurling in general. I agree the looks are fairly bland and generic. That’s not to say shove more fins and what not on it. Personally I think the Emisar D4S is a great example of simple, elegant and practical design.

Original design did not pass IPX-8 test.
