I know I mentioned this before but it sure makes me think about the Balder SE-1 I purchased from CNQG that doesn't have any branding (no printing or etching at all) and even came with a used Ultrafire 14500. My initial thought was review sample. The clues seemed to add up. But as long as it's not "used" and it works like it should then I definitely prefer a light with no branding printed or etched on it. Well.. unless it's tastefully done. In some cases I might be proud enough to enjoy the branding
No Skyray branding at all??? You think there is a chance it's a clone or some other lesser quality knock-off? By lesser quality I am referring to internals.
If we get one more of these NW KING's that outshines a DRY on turbo, I'm going to break down and order one from Ric. Obviously the NW version is not a Skyray, but manufactured by someone else. Perhaps slightly better driven too.
I think you're gonna have to, buddy cause my NW King is in the country and Im just waiting for it to be delivered!

Okay, I'll order one in a couple of days. This is going to be expensive for a NW and DHL shipping
Anyone know of a cap that can be popped over the lens so it doesn't get scratched up? When I get one of these, I plan on daily carrying it in my bag at work and I don't want to damage the lens. Something fun to replace the Fenix TK35 I lug around in my bag. ^_^

just go to wal mart w/ your calipers
I buy "multivites" gummy vitamins. they come in a clear plastic bottle. I cut the bottom off and it slips right on a couple of my lights, nice and snug. Next time I run the blast cabinet it won't be clear anymore...
Just ordered my SkyRay King NW from CNQ as well as a 6-pack HiMax 18650 + Xtar WP6 II from protactical.
BTW...if you order from CNQ, tell them you are a member of the BudgetLightForum and you'll get $5 refunded after your purchase. ^_^
How did you get him to do that?? I bought 2 lights & 2 holsters, gave him my BLF ID, his order number and PP transaction #, and he told me NO for a discount, that his prices are already low..........add in shipping though and that really isn't the case.
If this is in Brooklyn, and the $80 is the same as CNQ once you add shipping, IMO, it is a no brainer on where to get it from!!
Dam, reading this threads is making me spend more money!! I don't need this light no more than the man in the moon. But, reading the lusty talk about it, I want it!!
I am online with Irene from Tmart chat right now trying to get an answer on that...
Irene informs me it is currently out of stock but if it was in stock it would ship out of the NJ warehouse for US buyers. She could not say when it would be in stock but to check again in 7 days to see. She also recommended not buying it there while out of stock.
Hi Picrthis...there isn't one specific for the KING, but I purchased several of the Ultrafire UF-T70 holsters to also use for my DRY and for the KING from CnQualitygoods.com available from the link below.
The holster is perfect for the Ultrafire, but requires a slight modification to use for the other two flashlights. If you don't already have some around the house, purchase a pack of window air conditioner foam, the type used to insulate around those removable window A/C units. It's available at any home center or hardware store. Cut a piece about 2" in length and press it down into the bottom of the holster, adjust the length accordingly. It should allow the flashlight bezel area to fit snuggly at the top flap when closed. Here is a photo of the great fit on mine.
It's also very important with the KING to make use of the battery lock-out feature due to the digital switch. It's very easy for this light to turn on if slightly bumped, even if you're just placing it into the holster. Hope this helps.
CNQuality is the only game in town that offers this light in CW or NW. So if you really want the NW, order it from Ric.
+1. And I would order it from CNQG anyways. Small shop, good service, quick shipments, absolutely nothing to complain with them! Keep up the good work Ric!!

I agree as well, especially for the NW versions. The only reason I'd consider buying elsewhere is the 3+ weeks my order sat in customs in NYC because it came from HK registered post. I placed a couple smaller orders several days ago from Ric to be sent regular unregistered mail to see if they come any quicker. I remember when my orders from Ric would arrive in 10 days but for many of us US Customs is jerking us around with severe delivery delays. It's no fault of Ric's but I am an impatient man when it comes to some things. I hope customs gets their house in order ASAP.

I said it before: Use EMS!! It is worth every cent and you lose the customs B.S. From Ric I had mine in a week and they used Singapore Post.
You pay good for it, the total with EMS was 104 and change. Still even two of these would be a hell of a lot less than the Nitecore.

Thanks, I believe that is the same one Ric told me I should purchase; didn't know about using foam, I do believe I might have some of that in the garage already though..........Thanks!
So is it really a King? or simply another knock-off and how can you be sure?

IIRC, the MPCB is branded. I'll have the light in-hand in a couple of hours to verify.
The King I received is the best-built torch I've purchased from RIC, on par with the CNQG Longrun.

I'm confused, you save it's the best-built torch purchased from Ric, but don't have it in hand yet?

Since I don't carry it on my person at all times, I can get the info when I go home.
@dorpmuller: I meant to type PCB, for the Printed Circuit Board

I was mistaken - no markings on PCB.

Wish I had some money right now. Tired of waiting a month for things to arrive. I'd order this from T-Mart for a quick ship.

No... I have no money anyways... just a thought
I just looked at their site. The Sky Ray is $67.00!!!!! is that with free shipping??? I will mention that I am a BudgetLightForum member too.
70+, Old, Dirty and Fast..
CNQG doesn't include "free" shipping. Ric quotes me actual shipping costs.

my wallet is so lucky it is gold. I bet they do a run of black though, in a month or two, to get the hold outs like me

Yea, I wouldn't buy something that isn't in-stock either; doesn't make much sense to do so.
