Actually not NOT. I was talking about the aluminum version, and I mentioned the code for the Aluminum version as well, which doesn’t have the C at the end. You even quoted all that information in your post. At what point was I talking about the Cu version, huh?
And yes, the code for the Aluminum version was expired at one point. I even posted a screenshot of it above. Did you bother to read beyond my first post? ReManG talked to Neal to get the issue resolved before you showed up. Guess no you didn’t read through the thread, smh.

Now if it had tighter threads… and an AA cell instead of AAA… and moon mode instead of firefly… 
Yeah, AA would be great. I like the moon/firefly mode just the way it is, though. Perfect for a light in the middle of the night. They can get rid of the strobe in the next version.
Well, the AA version was in the works…
With the Manker/Banggood dustup it may be a while to find out if Astrolux will still be a brand…
If I find anything out, I will post it, but not looking good….

The Cometa build went wrong, and now it appears that Manker will not build for the Astrolux brand anymore…
It’s not that I don’t believe you, I’d just like to read more about it… Got a link? Or is this not written down so much?
Manker’s already posted in their newer U21 light thread that they will no longer supplying Banggood with their latest lights, so maybe the Cometa issue is the last straw that broke the camel’s back 
There is no press release if that is what you want…. These deals were done without all of that on our end, and it does appear the Cometa is what killed the deal for Manker/Banggood/Astrolux.
The shame of it is, the Cometa is a heck of a light IF you can do some simple mods with it. The safety issue is a big deal of course, not going to minimize that, but easily fixed. It is even understandable how the issue happened with price points and speed of manufacturing, that one was relatively short as GB go…
We got a heck of a light for $40 with the Cometa, and it was to be the last from the Banggood/Manker affiliation unfortunately.
Very sad but 100% true. With strength also comes responsibility. People used the forum in too abusive of a way that there will probably be no more custom or amped up lights any more. The risks are too great for the vendors and manufacturers so it will end up going the old way of people buying a $5-10 light and spend $60 to have a $30 light or stick with stock lights.
I just wanted folks here to know that BangGood served me well with this issue. Two weeks later I received a complete replacement light (rather than just the body), and it is properly machined — identical to my original one. Works great. Tint is just beautifully warm, so Nichia! And now I’ve got a spare head for doing a modification at some point, or replacing a damaged head. Plus, I can do some copper distressing experiments on the battery tube without messing up a good light. :+1:
ReManGA01C is not working for me 
I haven’t dropped the copper A01. Have just dropped the Olight i3E copper. Yeah must say it dents easily.
