Thanks, I almost never look at the /forum page. Anyway, the stats box is fixed now.
Once in a while I like to check the members list, it’s always staggering to me how many members we have and how so few are actually online. Getting close to 30,000 members, rare to see 100 online at one time.
Just now I looked, we have 29,660 members with 49 signed in at present. Kinda sad really that we can’t get higher participation than that. Not many giveaways happening at the moment I guess…
Instaled
My eyes start to need some things like this already
Thanks TK!

That takes you to where its hosted with instructions, the first post in ths thread.
I been using it for a year or so and really like it, saves my eyes.

Necrobump!
Looks like I'm late to the party...
I just installed After Dark.
It looks amazing!
Thanks you TK!
I feel like BLF isn't complete without this dark theme :)
Yep, now I'm totally into dark themes for every site that I use.
Unfortunate, some sites don't have a good looking dark theme like BLF After Dark.
By the way, I think most web browsers have extensions or add-ons that enable dark mode for websites.
For Chromium-based browsers, I like the extension "Super Dark Mode."
I think BLF After Dark is better than using Super Dark Mode, but SDM is good for websites that don't have an excellent dark mode option.
I ditched Super Dark Mode.
Now I'm using the extension Midnight Lizard.
It makes adjusting some colors easy.
I don't use it on some sites, like BLF, but it's nice for other sites.

We should probably unpin this thread, since it’s not relevant any more.
Additionally, this entire forum category seems to have a bunch of threads which are still pinned despite no longer being relevant. Perhaps these should be unpinned too? Or, in some cases, updated to show current info. Here are some suggestions:
Unpin:
- [2019-03-08] Reported posts meter and list removed
- [2018-11-30] Report post button
- Having trouble accessing BLF? Here’s a guide to the web browser Opera that may help.
- [2018-07-30] “Not secure” browser warnings, all is normal
- How to manually add mouseover image comparisons to posts
- BLF After Dark, CSS theme
- [26-MAR-2014] CPF discussion threads temporarily closed
- [08-Mar-2012] New SPAM mitigation scheme in place
- Flashlight review template here
Update maybe, or unpin?
- How to Post Images on BLF
- How to move a thread
- [17-DEC-2012] Please read: (1) Controversial topics and (2) Use of the SPAM button
- How to add embedded Youtube videos to reviews and posts.
Is this still relevant?
- [23-SEP-2015] Avoiding group buy “price wars”
Stay pinned? (and maybe update)
- About the BLF Site-related Issues category
- BudgetLightForum.com Privacy Policy
- Guidelines for Commercial Liaisons and Affiliate Linkers
- [05-FEB-2013] How to deal with trolls
- BudgetLightForum.com Site Rules
- Welcome to BudgetLightForum!
(maybe unpin since there’s a newer version of this thread?)
Fewer pinned threads means people are more likely to read them… and makes all the other threads easier to reach in the category’s topic list.
It may also be worth unpinning any threads which are linked from the sidebar, like the rules, since there’s a more visible link already available. Not sure if they’re better pinned or not though.
Thanks @ToyKeeper for reminding me to do this.
Moved and pinned to BLF User Negotiated Deals - BudgetLightForum.com
Good point, I unpinned these two:
As it stands now I just left 4 pinned topics:
- About the BLF Site-related Issues category
- Welcome to the new BudgetLightForum.com! (Needs to stay pinned here to be globally pinned at the top of the frontpage.)
- [05-FEB-2013] How to deal with trolls
- [17-DEC-2012] Please read: (1) Controversial topics and (2) Use of the SPAM button (Still basically relevant. I need to update this with some of the new aspects of the community moderation feature, especially marking posts as a “BLF Rule violation”. Discourse has a really cool feature where if a given thread starts to get a bunch of flagged posts then it assumes an argument has broken out and the admin/mod hasn’t had time to intervene yet, and it will automatically lock the thread for X amount of time until tempers cool down.)
