What are you doing to/with them?
For the record, Chris doesn’t stock the UCL in large enough sizes for the L6. Which is why I recommended the UCLp.
And also, for the record, TIR optics are plastic. They sit right down on top of the emitter, much much closer than a lens. I have over 30 UCLp lenses, none showing any issue to date…
Edit: Have a big light? Show it around and let people handle it, play with it, then pay attention to how many fingerprints are on the lens. Now, replace the lens with an UCLp and do some more showing and sharing, look for the fingerprints. People can see the big glass lens on a big light and then tend to not touch the glass. With the UCLp, you can’t see it, people try to touch the emitter and hit the lens they couldn’t tell was there! I’ve showed a finished light to my dad and he’s like, Pretty nice! Now where are you gonna find a lens that size? Already there dad, already there. 
Touch, jab, smear… well of all the things! Can’t see it at all!

I didn’t ask as a put down of their lenses, I have no experience with them, but because of my experience with the specific lights I mentioned. They may have been fine in a water environment which is what they were designed for.
Well, I have a couple LD-2 and M2 drivers, but I need to make a copper heat sink/driver adapter, seeing how they are 25mm and 17mm in diameter, not a big deal. I like them because you have dual button functionality and 4 evenly spaced level’s. I already built one with a de-domed XHP70 pulling 12amps, but sold it, so I might just build another? Or another XHP35 or a MTG-2 or a……??? We’ll see, waiting on a couple of different drivers to test and try out, with dual button capability’s and you know Winter is just around the corner, so I have plenty to think about plan and execute. :+1:

The Naked (raw aluminum) L6 BEAST!… XHP70 P2 1C (shaved) and a custom hand made driver adapter for the 3 mode plus momentary (off) and hold for Turbo at the e-switch LD-2 dual switch 12amp Linear driver, polished heat sink adapter made of copper and brass (17mm driver adapters) do you still recognize the driver retainer?

Thanks! It’s truly a beauty inside and out! The machining is excellent! I forgot to add it’s Raw Aluminum, non anodized. Plus I shimmed the e-switch up 1.2mm and sanded the retainer ring down to fit, also 1mm off the tail cap spacer, for less travel on the button. It’s almost done, I’m going to order a couple UCLp’s for it, them, also!
That raw L6 is truly beautiful. I would love to see these offered for sale. While maybe not as practical as the clear ano, it simply looks too dang sexy to care!
I’d like to put a few hours of elbow grease and some Mother’s Billet Aluminum polish to work on one of those bad boys!

Hmmm, I have 2 different style L2 single 26650 tubes, thinking on bead blasting and polishing (with Mother’s Gold) one of them, I just don’t know which? Block or Ring style?
I do have a extra L2 also, maybe bead blast and polish that one also, so the L6 has a little naked brother?
Thoughts?
