The L6 trumps the S70.
Of course there are many other criteria - YMMV.

There sure is. This light is manufactured in China and Simon’s primary sales site is his Aliexpress store. Aliexpress is part of the larger Alibaba group of which Taobao is the main Chinese sales site. Preparing the English translated Aliexpress version takes longer. I would not have posted a Taobao link even had I known it was available as it is irrelevant to most BLF readers. If I get a more satisfactory answer I’ll pass it on but as far as I know that’s about it.

Thorfire is definitely great about including useful spare parts, but we’re usually talking about a few dollars worth of extras, so not a huge deal on the scale of purchasing these lights. Potential small point to Thorfire, depending on final offerings included with L6? (Maybe I missed where this was finalized; definitely haven’t seen a side-by-side of included accessories.)
For start they have already confirmed they will not include adapters to 18650. In addition, now that I’ve noticed, does the convoy l6 head support for a belt? Seems not, Can any confirm this?. That would be another point for Thorfire, which has the hook, and includes the belt.

SOS is hidden, but it’s easy to find XD. Just need a sustained pulsation. I not like in general this type of modes. But you never know when you will need. So, for many excuses you can put, it’s definitely an advantage to have SOS, being that is hidden of course.
My thoughts on all of the things brought up here and what I know…
Does the Thorfire come with more extras?
Yes, the S70 does come with a few more extras. Are those extras useful to me? Not so far…maybe someday, but not likely and if the need ever does arise they can be had for a dollar or two.
The S70 comes with a sturdy strap if you want to carry over your shoulder. I’ve tried using it and found it completely impractical, bordering on ridiculous and it just clinks around and gets in the way if you’re actually trying to use the flashlight. That said, if someone wants to carry a honkin huge flashlight like a purse more power to ’em.
The L6 doesn’t come with 18650 adapters for good reason. It is not wise to use 18650 cells in a setup like this. It would drain them far too quickly. The L6 does not have SOS. This was intentional. It was my idea not to have it actually so if you’re not happy about that you can blame me. Personally I’ve never found it to be anything but a nuisance but that’s just my opinion.
Thorfire is a marketing company. I’m not saying extras aren’t cool but I prefer extras like stock spring bypasses, better mode spacing and the inclusion of both a tactical ring and hidden ring.
Sounds like an awesome light to me!!
