Coronavirus **personal experiences** thread

Haha same here
But I also don’t watch TV anymore.
It’s been more than 5 years without TV, and I can say I feel much calmer and wiser.
And don’t care about reading news sites that much either. I mostly just browse through headlines.
People don’t realise, but their opinions are not actually theirs. It’s the news that decides what “their” opinions will be.
And it’s easy to notice that because they follow the same patterns that news dictate.

SHUTDOWN tomorrow. :frowning:

New Orleans Louisiana will be shutdown Saturday. :weary:

I hope post office will not shut down. Packages are waiting for delivery.

Saw this on HBO tonight……After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News
Echos what you are saying.

most countries have cut down air flights and closing down shipping docks for quarantine. Customers over the world wont be getting their packages anytime soon.

sitting in limbo. Need to save money for food rather flashlights

Yes, clearly “News” channels have perfected the art of mind control.

Wellp, I get the freebies: Chronicle, AM-NY, Metro, ’though the last 2 merged a few months ago.

Good coverage of local stories (that never makes the “local” news on teevee), good puzzle-pages.

Granted, half the paper is all ads, but that’s what makes ’em free.

So it’s better not to try to stay inform on things? People are unable to formulate informed opinions by themselves? Good to know that.

Martial Law coming to New Orleans.

The virus was banned in Russia. Nobody dares to get sick.

Good read again. One of the topics he talks about is if a vaccine were available right now, it would be a dangerous gamble with a 50:50 chance of making some people even sicker with higher lethality rates. Not sure that would go over well in Denmark where they just past a renewable law of forced vaccination if a vaccine was available before the March 2021 sunshine clause. Quite a few other interesting observations as well that I haven't read elsewhere with one of them being for Korea not to be complacent even though things have calmed down over there.

...... and thanks sb56637 for keeping this thread open.

Some senators got early warnings and dumped their stock portfolio

it’s about 7 minutes in, but rest of video worth watching, what else are you gonna do cooped up in your home

Those guys and gals are all crooks. It does not matter what party.

the biggest problem is that not enough people are tested...

I guess the numbers would be very different, when 10 to 30% of a countries population is tested.

i see nearly same numbers for "sick" and "confirmed Covid-19
