Does anyone build custom constant current drivers?

I’m trying to put a Nichia B35AM 4000k led in a Zebralight Sc700 host.

I’m willing to spend up to $150 for pcb’s, etc… the whole project not including the price of the light.

Besides mtnelectronics guy, does anyone have else build custom drivers, that would allow me to do this?

With zebra lights switch location, etc…not necessarily zebralights’ firmware, I don’t care about the UI

Low, medium, and high and preferably battery check, is good enough for me. It doesn’t need to be programmable like the stock zebralight ui.

Medium should be around 500 lumens

High around 900 lumens

Low can be 20 lumens or so

I am looking for a light that uses this led but doesn’t get stupid efing hot like most convoy lights

Im done with convoy and their quality

Since I can’t seem to find any other light that uses this led that is much better quality than convoy,

I would love to have be able to convert my sc700

Can this be done for less than $200?

Do you have links please?

Isn’t there a guy on Reddit who specialises in modding zebras? McBob or something…?

Yea, i quess, if you want just swap led , it is more realistic scenario to replace with FFL707A kind of good led too. Mcbob mod

That’s one the options I looked at but I really hate pink. I want yellow with no additional hues.

Dedoming the xhp 70.3 would be the easiest thing to do but the cri on the xhp is not impressive

I’ve seen the b35am in 3500k and 4000k and the cri is nice, yellow without the pink

I have 2 lights with B35AM emitters, the first is an Emisar D1V2 (5700K on both) and the other is a Convoy S2+ Ti with an 18350 tube, and contrary to most people’s opinion I much my Convoy over the Emisar.
At max output the Emisar gets too hot IMO, my S2+ also gets very hot at 100%, but at 35% I think it’s pretty reasonable, my S2+ also has much better runtime as well. I like it so much that I’m considering getting another S2/3 with the B35AM 3500K, despite already having another with a 519A 4500K dedomed.

I ordered 2 s21d from convoy tested them on turbo and high both of the burnt up

Have you tested your convoys on the 35% mode till the battery was completely depleted or just a few minutes?

Can you hold the light in your hand after an hour of running on the 35% mode without needing to hold the light on the very back of the light or using gloves?

I have a couple S2+ with 519A and buck drivers, one with a LH351D and linear driver (this one runs cooler than the 519As) and only one with the boost driver and B35AM and it’s by far my favorite. At 35% they run a bit hot but it’s not something that’s problematic, the boost driver at 35% runs noticeably cooler with the B35AM, I also tested it with the 719A and it ran hotter with the 719A despite putting out less lumens.
I have ran my lights for extended periods of time without any issues what so ever.
