✌ FREEME - ASTROLUX EC03 3*CREE XHP50B-3V 6700lm Andúril 21700/ 18650 Flashlight - from $

Sofirn has the XHP50.2 3V 5000K's in stock, I ordered a few and they shipped: https://sofirnlight.myshoplaza.com/products/xhp5023v

Don't know of any available in lights right now - they have been very scarce, problem is sourcing not cost.

How about WildTrail WT3M 3*SST40 5000K?

Well sst40 is rather not an option. To throwy

Im looking for flooder, thats why i wanted to buy EC03 with xhp50.2…

BUT

I need EDC flooder and WT3M*3 seems to be perfect match for me.

EC03 have one minus for me. Head dimension is a little to big for EDC flashlight imho. Simply is to big to carry it comfortably in pocket.

WT3M*3 have everything what I need, dimensions, UI, USB, power, 21700, op ref which i assume is making nice flood.

Damn even that 6000k on xhp50.2 is acceptable considering above.

But before i will buy it i would like to see beamshots which i cant find.

I took a wall shot, but I only have the SST-40 WT3M. It's very floody even with the SST-40's - shallow OP reflectors, very wide beam, but still a hotspot, though large.

Just compared beams of my WT3M SST-40 to a EC03 XHP50.2 and the hot spot is about the same size, but the tint of the WT3M is sooo much nicer in 5000K, plus those XHP50.2's have 3 clearly defined color: white/blue center, halo of yellow, outer flood back to white/blue.

Can U upload photo please?

Tom E I’m rly appreciate Ur help :+1:

Hhmm, I got these: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/67057/36

As you mentioned, I noticed that several of Sofirn’s XHP50.2 flashlights now list “5000k” variants (eg. Q8 Pro with 4x XHP50.2 5000k, SD05 and SP33v3 with XHP50.2 5000k), I’m not sure if the SD01 Pro uses 4x XHP50.2 6500k or 5000k. The Wurkkos DL70 with 4x XHP50.2 also appears to use the 5000k (although probably not “true” 5000k, but maybe something like 5400-5700k)

Ohh, that's interesting but does make sense. They must have gotten in a pretty large batch. I do wonder if their 5000K is a true 5000K, because not sure if it was Sofirn, but we've been misled before on these 5000K tints, and Sofirn doesn't document their sourcing with true CREE part #'s.

From their listing:

XHP50.2(3V) has two tints options
6500K (1C 1D)
5000K (3A 3B)
5300-5700K (2C 2D)

Looks like 3 tints to me. For the 5000K, 3A is always preferred over 3B (CREE tint chart), but it's a toss up I guess for what you will get.

I wonder if any of these XHP50.2 is 5000k or 5700k?

They do look like 3 levels to me, but the tint shifting is so bad on all of them, makes it difficult to see. The last one seems the warmest though.

I installed (3) xhp50.2 "5000-5400k" from cutter in my ec03, and it is a huge improvement. Bought the LEDs from a Reddit member who had (7) for sale, it saved me the shipping from Australia. I will probably put the rest in a ea01s or a WildTrail wt3m.

cutter still sells them, but I have tk imagine it's the same one Sofirn.com is selling too

You bought a 6500K previously?

I got qty 5 ordered from Sofirn. Sofirn has gotten these XHP50.2 tints confused in the past. I recall they claimed 5000K but when we got them, they were more like 5700K's. Cutter knows LED's, has excellent sourcing, so you can expect to get what you think you are buying.

I did, i missed the original opportuntiy to get the 5700k. I bought the GREEN xhp50.2 that released a couple months back. with 5400k it is a perfect light. and the FireFlies e12r pocket clip fits PERFECTLY on the ec03 too, by the way

With the FireFlies E07x / e12r pocket clip :))

I had sliced 5700 cases before and they got green real quick so I won't be slicing these. Of course they have that Cree tin shift but it's not terrible and I really appreciate the slightly warmer tent. I really dislike xhp50 in the 6500 K. it's one of my most disliked tints.

Yea, i thought i had heard that Cutter has an exclusive with CREE on being the only retailer of the 5000k-5400k xhp50.2 3volt, thats why i was surprised when someone had told me a little while back that Sofirn had them too..

5700k would make perfect sense.

And for what its worth - If i compare the Cutter xhp50 5400k (lets call it that, since its a range of 5000k-5400k) to the Astrolux ft03 xhp50 5700k (the only 5700k's i own), the tint shift is MUCH worse on the astrolux 5700k than the cutter 5400k. Just my observation. Could be because the 5400k is in a 3x reflector though..

Yes, in general - OP's for XHP's. But for example with the old L6's, many of us wanted the better throw vs. the better beam - classic trade off. Think I had Haikelite get me a SMO for the old MT07, using a sliced XHP70, yes more ringy artifacts, sharp edge transitions, but it can throw!

Hello freeme, My friend wants to purchase two pieces EC03 3XHP 50.2. Are they still available?

Original deal has expired but i will request for new one next week.
