If I get a £200 torch for £17 I will eat my hat, but 400+ positive feedback?
I have read before of sellers over there selling a few cheap items then getting 100% feedback and then offering items that were cheap as they come, only the never come and the seller disapeared.
There is even cheaper ones but the sellers feedback is quite low, So what do you think?
if you order one… yes it’s unfortunately it’s a scam… lately a lot of dishonest ebay sellers from china selling fake lights.
they boost their rating for a less than a year… sometimes they even had few years in business already.
unfortunately the stuffs they’re selling usually is cheap items for few bucks … just to get the rating high.
and when they had enough ratings… usually they started selling high end flashlights… which is in demand right now.
and they’ll ship it with the slowest shipping ( even with tracking) just to fool the buyer that the item is being sent.
by the time you’ll get your envelope ( usually containing junk) they’ll be gone and let paypal reimburse you instead.
cheaper by$10 is normal… but cheaper than $50 or more? definitely red flag… especially if free shipping included
I understand what you are saying, but I think EBAY fees are way over the top, and they also jiff you on PP as well, they make so much money, and yet most claims they don’t settle so I disagree that because of this the fees are so high it’s just company greed
Scam city, dude. What I’d do is first contact the seller and try to get info on how he has the items at this price. If (when) no response, make ebay aware that it is almost certainly a scam.
I think the annoying thing is that there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to tell eBay that it’s a scam. Not maybe, not probably, but definitely a scam. As Chicago X says, this is why eBay and Paypal fees are so high.
I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole - I got enough foreign coins.
If its the real deal, I hope it doesnt sell out before everyone gets in on one. Of course, Im predicting a PP dispute/refund for imitation merchandise, but you never know till you try. The process is easy enough so Im not at all worried. There is always the bullet-proof protection of my CC if all else fails.
