Holy smokes! Unfortunately for me, I was just daytripping - I don’t have a vacation as a “cover story”!
Eh, better than sitting in my room all day!

damn, KeithD has already hit up all of my local stores. I just want the Ryobi battery packs for my tools.
where do you live keithd?
Germany, lol! Actually I’m TDY to the States, and had too much free time on my hands yesterday.
FWIW, I only hit 1 store in Mobile AL, two stores near Biloxi MS, the two stores in Slidell, and only the two eastern-most stores in New Orleans. Didn’t check anything else, ran out of time and motivation. Apparently they put out some Ryobi packs yesterday at my dad’s store right after I checked all the stores in LA. Might be worth it to try again.
I love in Biloxi so I guess I’ll check again and see
You missed out Keith. Biloxi Home Depot had one. Took 20 minutes to find it.
Gah!
I checked on Wednesday, apparently the Ryobi packs hadn’t hit the shelves yet. Ah well, at least my pops got me one!
I wonder how many BLFers are going to keep theirs intact. I have a Ryobi weedwhacker, drill, impact wrench, sawzall, and radio, and I pretty much use them all fairly often so this time these packs aren’t going under the knife.
Congratulations on the find, by the way!
They are on the clearance end caps. This one was tucked away in the back behind a bunch of stuff. Their inventory shows they have another one but they can’t locate it.
We are all like little kids on a Easter egg hunt—Fun when you find them though—LOL
I found 3 of the Ridgid packs so I had to scoop them up. The local hd didn’t have them but I gave the clerk the SKU and she was able to tell me there were 2 close by. When I went there the clerk found 3 on the overhead shelf and was surprised at the price.
So what are those Ryobi packs going for? I have several One+ tools but only 1 high-capacity battery.
They’re going for $99 each at Home Depot.
…did I open this thread.
Our Canuck Home Depots never seem to have deals like this. Clearance usually means 10% off. SMH.
I will have to take a look next time I am south of the border.
I just went on a wild goose hunt to the closest 6 stores to Knoxville, TN and they are all still at regular prices. Lots of other clearance stuff but no batteries at all.
^ Did you price check them to make sure? Many times the posted prices don't get updated.

Too funny and quite true.
The 2 packs are 25.02. Look for this package
Wow! Thanks.
I’ll definitely be on the lookout.

Snagged these from my HD with a 10% off coupon. Too bad they weren’t 25 each… whatever, 50% off is good enough for me.
ugh, TFS Jake, where in Alabama if you don’t mind me asking. I called quite a few asking if they had stock the other day. I don’t need them for the batteries, I need them for all my Ryobi tools!
Story time:
Yesterday on my HD trip I found this:
I have never owned a defiant before (DST or other) so when it rang up for $15.04 I bought it. Took it to the car and put the included cells in it and nothing happened. No light. I decided the cells must be dead (they were manufacturered in ’09 and the light had been on the shelf for a long time so I wasn’t concerned, I have more batteries I’d just swap in a new set at the house)… But no!
So it takes me aboit 10-15minutes to drive home, I reach over to pick up the light once I pull in to my driveway and the damn thing is BURNING HOT, probably 160*+. It’s got a major short somewhere! I took the reflector off to check there, no shorts, it must be in the driver… I’m taking it back today!
Yeah I think every one has decided that last years Defiants were better quality than this years. The Defiant 3D and the Super Thrower (DST) were decent lights.

That light was new for this Christmas. You’re not missing much anyways, they’re not anywhere close to the quality of the DST and other older lights.
