Is there a 5050 3V high CRI LED?(Rollercoster of emotions --- 3V 5050 9070 --- GT FC30 6V R9070 5050 --- GT FC60 12V R9080 7070)

Some LEDs:

Uh, that image won't display for me.

Let me change that.

Now it works!

I would definitely pay more for the –0.010 to –0.005 DUV!

I understand why you’d be impatient! I’m looking forward to seeing beamshots if you can get it working.

In case the group buy will be for the GT FC60 would you sell also a few of your GT FC30 samples?

Having dozrns of FC40’s, that 60 isn’t so impressive (beside 6V capabity)

BUT that FC30 is high on my WTB list

BTW, I completely forgot to post the full color data, but here is the color data for the samples:

Note that there is no tint binning for these LEDs, and I do not trust their lumen ratings as well.

Here is one FC30 sample’s color data(the worst one in terms of tint binning, which was non existent)

Um, so a few people have their LEDs.

Here is what they noted:

1. The FC30 6V has a different internal wiring diagram that makes it annoying to power compared to normal LEDs like the XHP50.2.

2. As expected, tint binning isn’t a thing. The FC60 is fine, but the FC30 is green.

Weird honestly knowing the test data we have though.

Man, these are just samples, but the fact that they’re greenish took a wind out of me.

The problem is that they tend to test tints at full rated power, which can cause some problems obviously.

I’m not sure if I want to order duv –0.005 to 0.000 LEDs then since that means there’s a chance they could be green at lower power.

I might take our chances for duv –0.01 to –0.005.

This also seals the deal for the FC60 6/12V.

It’ll be the first LED for the GB.

This thread is a real emotional roller coaster

Yeah, it’s because we had high expectations for no tint binning samples, which includes me.

It also didn’t help that the color data was done at full power, which also obviously meant that at lower power, the chroma offset data and color data was going to be different, and that doesn’t even include optics.

I’m not sad, just that we got exactly what we got for the samples, and I’m still dissapointed

We got exactly Ra9070 for the FC30, and Ra9080 for the FC60. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well there is some tint shift with current but not a lot

Olga-S TIR (lightly beaded, I don’t have anything more diffusing for big LEDs)

1A
5s : CCT = 4065K (Duv 0.0054)

30s : CCT = 4077K (Duv 0.0051)

1min : CCT = 4091K (Duv 0.0048)

4A
5s : CCT = 4144K (Duv 0.0048)

30s : CCT = 4139K (Duv 0.0047)

1min : CCT = 4149K (Duv 0.0045)

with a light bulb diffuser (as I recall, this one barely affects the tint from an uniform source)
1A
5s : CCT = 4098K (Duv 0.0037)

4A
5s : CCT = 4178K (Duv 0.0030)

bare :
1A
5s : CCT = 4255K (Duv 0.0035)

4A
5s : CCT = 4355K (Duv 0.0027)

Do you know how they measure, integrated ? bare ?

Bare. No optics whatsoever.

Anyway, I’m going to have to gear up significantly for my final order.

I’ll have to make ask for quotes as detailed as a luminaire manufacturer would do on a BOM sheet.

bare ~0° 1A, 5s : CCT = 4255K (Duv 0.0035)
bare ~45° 1A, 5S : CCT = 4197K (Duv 0.0038)
bare ~70° 1A, 5s : CCT = 4111K (Duv 0.0038)

very low tint shift over angle.

OP reflector (M21C-u)1A 5s : CCT = 4154K (Duv 0.0055)
50mA 5s : CCT = 4129K (Duv 0.0056)

Olga RS (Clear TIR) 1A, 5s : CCT = 4005K (Duv 0.0075)

the samples were supposed to be –0.0010~0.0030 ? bare at 4A it indeed falls on the top of that range, but with optics, at low current : +0.0020+0.0045, without counting some purple reflecting AR coating lenses which can be +0.0010+0.0035 for the worst ones I’ve seen.

So aiming for –0.0050 to 0.0000 probably wont guarantee a tint below the BBL in all conditions.

The FC60 was –0.001 to 0.002 I think, while the FC30 is 0.000 to 0.0035.

Definitely aim for –0.01 to –0.005 just to ensure we don’t get any green tint

Totally. I’m willing to pay the slight testing sample extra to make sure such a low delta uv binning is possible, as this is a groupbuy after all, so I’ll try to get some exclusive stuff.

Also, I’ve actually decided to ask Getian to also do half full power color measurements as well as full power color measurements for 1-2 samples of the final production batch. This should allow us to get more accurate readings.

FC30 (12V) bare :
0° 0.1A : CCT = 4200K (Duv 0.0073) (Ra) = 94.8 [ R9 = 83.0 ]
45° : CCT = 4121K (Duv 0.0073) (Ra) = 94.8 [ R9 = 83.0 ]
70° : CCT = 4043K (Duv 0.0068) (Ra) = 95.1 [ R9 = 84.5 ]

like the FC60, very low tint shift, but super green :confounded:
I couldn’t produce a dark spot/donut with various SMO and clear TIR so that’s very good. It has less tint shift than XHP50.3 HI

Bare 0° 1A 5s : CCT = 4308K (Duv 0.0072) (Ra) = 92.9 [ R9 = 74.2 ]
Bare 0° 1A 1min : CCT = 4309K (Duv 0.0071) (Ra) = 92.9 [ R9 = 74.5 ]

Bare 0° 2.3A 5s : CCT = 4390K (Duv 0.0059) (Ra) = 91.9 [ R9 = 68.9 ]
Bare 0° 2.3A 1min : CCT = 4383K (Duv 0.0058) (Ra) = 92.0 [ R9 = 68.7 ]

As mentioned already the layout is not compatible with XHP50, will have to be modified otherwise it’s not a direct replacement.
