Dear Klarus,
I’m not sure what prompted this declaration.
Perhaps you have some very compelling reasons, but the delivery/presentation could have been better… much better… avoiding what has now become a public relations issue.
Based on the reactions in this thread alone, it’s not hard to project lower sales of Klarus products.
You know what might help? A list of authorized Klarus dealers that are supported by full warranty service AND a promotion code that can be used at these authorized dealers that gives us SUBSTANTIAL discounts on Klarus products… oh, AND some new and innovative products.

Are you sure? The kind of people who buy lights for cross country running, law enforcement, and so on most probably haven’t heard of this forum, and probably don’t want the sort of light many here buy, and barely use. Klarus lights look find to me.
Klarus is being available BIG TIME on Amazon. They may be the only authorized seller in the US.
Ive found a remedy! A dab of this will help reduce the itching and swelling of your klarus.
I sent 2 lights back to china for repair and got 2 of the same back, but brand new for $10 shipping. I believe they had updated boards. I returned 2 to A&A in the USA for repair, and received 2 brand new back also. however the heads were glued on those models for some unknown reason, I guess to keep me from replacing the heads with a broken one to avoid them repairing one I didn’t buy from them. I guess it depends on where you buy it and their reputation.
I am sure that for some reason Klarus made a business decision to post their declaration here, on BLF.
I am sure that my opinion is based solely on the many strongly negative comments left by our fellow BLF members… here on this BLF thread… started by Klarus.
I am sure that a substantial BLF discount code for Klarus authorized dealers would change some opinions… here on BLF.
I am also sure that new and innovative products can help any company, including Klarus.

Not funny at all. Klarus has has some serious counterfeit issues and although their initial statement is poorly done, if you had plunked down $50 from some shitty well known reseller (not ebay) and gotten some POS imitation that caught on fire or poured poison smoke into your home while you children are asleep, you may have different thoughts on it. I have a couple of G30’s that I enjoy, and there are a lot of good choices out there not named Klarus (thanks for the Acebeam heads up too). But I’m willing to give Klarus some leeway on this until I learn more.
EDIT: they changed the OP declaration, reads better and folks should have less to complain about (hopefully) now.
The way I read that thread is, that it wasn’t a counterfeit after all. Klarus ended up shipping him a new head. If it were counterfeit, they would never have done that. Plus, by the serial number, Klarus seemed to know where it came from without the OP telling them where he got it. They were BSing him because he got it for a discount, nothing more
So Klarus updated the OP...
but they are still refusing to provide after-sales service if you buy their product.
That's very poor service from Klarus.
Their flashlights are not cheap, but they're cheaping out on service.
Shame on Klarus.

By the way, the issue isn't about counterfeits, even if Klarus makes it seem like that.
Klarus is just unhappy that companies are selling their flashlights under the Minimum Advertised Price, and they're being very childish about it.
They're punishing consumers for buying their product.
This would all be quite comical if it weren’t true. Are they high on drugs? Those mental midgets keep failing their own Chinese fire drills!
