Noctigon Meteor M43 BLF Discount Buy - $50+ Discount! - MTN & Intl-Outdoor

Nice explanation, ReManG! :+1:

I love UI 3, and have my 3 modes set up like yours. I especially enjoy the momentary turbo by holding the button when the light is already running in another mode.

For those new to the Meteor, don’t be intimidated by UI 3. Once you start using it, I think it becomes easy and intuitive.

I’m excited for everyone who got a Meteor because of this awesome discount!

I tried to explain as simple as I could. The set up is really the only complicated part.

If you set up UI3 in a low medium high like I explained above, then you have a single click to on low, and go up in modes by double clicking. Press and hold from off or any level and the light ramps to full turbo, release the hold and it goes back to the level it was on. Single click from any level on, goes right to off…

In use, this is much simpler than other UI’s like Olight or ArmyTek, both of which are good UI’s. Set up the Meteor UI3, and it is even simpler than Olight or ArmyTek in use.

The “tactical turbo” is just fun, blasting 6000+ lumen instantly is pretty cool, even though totally impractical for actual use, except of course, tactically…

Thanks ReManG. Now I just have to wait for my light to try it out.

I am confused as to the tactical turbo? Is it just a momentary turbo? Please explain, thanks.

Thanks for the very informative post and for your efforts.

What scares me is the thought of remembering all those new procedures if I wanted a new UI or set-up. Haha, I can’t even remember some of my traditional 4-mode lights that are still in their boxes! You know how it is to some people like me…as I said, if I only own one light or this light, all those procedures will just be second-nature to me.

Yes.

You can do the “5 clicks then hold” while the light is on any mode to set the light to momentary at that brightness. Great for Morse code!

Did y'all think that those Meteors build themselves???

Patience! Lots of LEDs to reflow, lots of lights to build. All of the 219C I have to put together.

@tatasal, I do keep a copy of the user manual (and had to refer to it during the previous posts) so I understand what you mean. I set mine up in UI3 and do not really do anything other than the tactical mode for showing off… There are tons of options with this light, but you do not have to use any if you do not want. I did spend some frustrated time trying to figure it all out, thus my post here. This is an impressive light, and UI3 caught a lot of flack for a while as the diagram did not make it clear how easy it was.

@saypat The “tactical” mode is one that is only on when the button is pressed and held. If you want to “blink” the light for a quick peek at something, this will do it as fast as you can blip the button. If you do five clicks and hold from off, the “tactical” mode is “only” 1A, still bright… In whatever mode/level you want to set the “tactical” mode, you just have the light on in that level and do five clicks and hold. You can have a tactical moonlight mode if you want… On turbo, it is impressive for showing off… The full turbo in tactical mode and an air horn would be a constipation remedy for those easily startled at night if you came up behind them, especially if they had Siderodromophobia.

Dang—I wondered if you mounted the LEDs—I sure would like one with some XP-L 3Bs

Santa’s workshop!

Hahaha. Keep doing what you do Richard, you truly are an amazing individual. Thanks for all you do!

This might look like a clearance sale.

Indeed. Though I don’t think there’s much to improve or update in M43 (except adding tripod mount screw?). XHP LEDs certainly don’t offer any notable boosts in performance in this kind of light, especially XHP35.

Impressive!

I was pretty sure they streaked across the night sky and you and Hank just went out and picked them up after they landed. Turns out that’s not the case. Who knew… :face_with_monocle:

Got one, can’t wait

Anyone know how to do a rough lumen and runtime calculation for the modes other than turbo?

i heard a rumor of a 100W version...

Now, wait a second…
At roughly 4V and top draw of around 30A, aren’t we already over that?

G'Day BLF'ers,

Could someone Please tell me if Button Tops are required for the Noctigon Meteor M43?

And will the Samsung 30Q Button Top batteries work in it? Or?

How about the Samsung 30Q Flat Tops?

Thank you Very Much,

George

Button tops are required and 30Q button tops (from Banggood) works fine in mine.

Only button tops work. Samsung 30Q button tops and Sanyo NCR18650GA raised platform tops both work great.

G'Day RollerBoySE, & Maukka,

Thank you Very Much for the Valuable info. Greatly Appreciated.

Best Regards,

George

235W, 17000+ lumens, 270KCD, 8*18650, with a handle, but it’s not an updated version, a completely new product.
