I received some parts from a giveaway by leroycp a few days ago and as I stated in that thread, I have made a light and dedicated it to Old Lumens.

I have used brass tubing, copper bar, hand tools and used a couple of his methods to make it, most notably the tail switch locking piece. He did seem to like my work with brass so I would hope this light might be to his liking too.

Theres no doubt in my mind that OL would love this light and also leroycp with what you have used his parts in.

Great work, how do you find the time to make all these lights?
A. retired
B. college student on break
C. rich, don’t have to work
D. lazy, don’t want to work
E. complete addiction to lights, make lights when you should be sleeping

Just a joke but I don’t see where you have all the time to make these nice lights.

On high mode it does get very hot after around 3 minutes and you definitely get the feeling to kick it down a notch but on medium it’s within comfortable tolerances to hold continually here, where it’s not exactly the tropics.

I am just super efficient :smiley:
I like to only work around 6-8 months of the year to make enough for lots of time off.
What is life if you’re working all the time is my philosophy. Making things is one of my meditations.

Great philosophy, I would do the same thing if I did not have to worry about health insurance, super expensive here unless you have a full time job.

No seriously CRX, your work gives me a tiny bit of a manic depression.
