Going back to the DD & Chinese sellor topic - there is definately a "love/hate" relationship with these sellors. I just hope the not-so-seasoned budgeteer flashaholic doesn't get blindsighted with all the potential issues some of us encounter. It was my intention to give folks a better perspective on what to expect. Overall I'm marginally satisfied with the products I get and the drama I have come to love & hate.

Once you place an order from our website successfully but can not find the order number in My Account at DinoDirect.com, you can offer us the transaction ID of your payment, your full name and your email address or phone number. Then we will try to search it for you. By the way, if your order is approved by us, a confirmation email will be sent to you. So could you please double check your email again? Maybe it will help you to get it.

Well, I've checked my emails, that's how I saw the above. My email to DD contained all the info you've listed, including Paypal transaction ID, still no confirmation or order no. The order must have "been approved" by DD, or my acct. wouldn't have been debited.

Please let me emphasise, this isn't an actual complaint, I'm just trying to understand how the DinoDirect system works. Do you only send order confirmation to registered DD members? (I am not a member) And do DD not assign a specific order number to each purchase, that non-member customers can access?

Speaking of be off-topic: I hope I am not out of line for asking, but would you mind sharing the spreadsheet you use?

I've been thinking about putting together something in Excel or Google Docs with a little behind-the-scenes magic (countdown to 45 days, highlight/change column background color to red at 40 days, maybe even add a row with tracking numbers and links to track-trace.com, etc.) and I was going to get started when I realized I don't know the first thing about Excel scripting.

Perl? Sure, I love Perl. Bash scripts? Uh huh. JavaScript? Well, I guess I could make sense of it. Excel? Yeah... Let me grab "Excel for Idiots" real quick. :D

It was your customer service staff that made me feel "dirty". I would rather have a prostrate examination from a fat fingered doctor than deal with them again.

and I get a reply to my CS inquiry saying the shipping company was at fault and I don't get a tracking number..so which is it? is the number I got accurate? or is this a case of the left hand not having a clue what the right hand is doing? ..and to blame the shipping company for the fault is just gold lol..summer take note of the problems with DD from this site and do your best to fix them..these aren't huge issues and are easily fixable but are keeping DD from being what it could be..

Well I decided to give DD another chance since my 1st order was a nightmare. I ordered a BC40 on the 12-26-11. As of right now, it has yet to even be shipped. So that is strike 2 against DD. And I'm saving them the humiliation of strike 3. My money will go to folks who actually care about customer service and shipping fast and making sure your order is correct the first time. And what is so sad on this 2nd order Summer was supposed to be taking care of it. Sorry Summer, but your no better. Now that is just my honest opinion, and I do feel bad having to even say that.

I could of placed 7 different orders in a 7 day span with Shane and gotten everyone of them by day 10. Shane cares about his customers, and he shows his customers respect by telling them beforehand what he can do or can't do. If Shane, tells you 3 days you can take it to the bank. And heck Shane will beat most big dealers on what he sells. That's who is going to get most of my business from now on. I'm saving myself the DD misery.

No problem. The spreadsheet I pasted is a shortened version. Only thing it doesn't have is the over 45 day column. What would be the best way to send it or attach it? Ideas? (trying to avoid file sharing sites as much as possible, last resort) Maybe converting to google docs would be a better idea for those who don't have Excel
