I just bought this light. I been wanting a 9 LED light for a while because of the bigger reflectors it has compared to my 12 LED lights. Has anyone had this brand light apart? Does it have the same driver as the Trustfire 12xT6 light? I’m sure it will not be stock for long. I still have a couple of dozen XM-L2 LEDs on SinkPads that need a home!

I had some interest in this one too.
I should have mine by the end of the week. I will make sure it works first then I will tear it down and post some pics here.

I received the light today! Wow! Fast shipping! I didn’t even pay for express shipping! Another wow was when I did a tailcap current test. Look at this! Is this normal? Im using samsung 20r batteries. 3 of them.
This light is badass!!! I just took it outside and lit up my test tower and strobe is wicked!!! It sure gets hot quick though. I may just keep it as is and buy another for modding. That’s usually what I do anyway. I will take some beam shots in a day or so with the EOS60D.

what in the heck!? 13 amps in stock form? you know how many lumens? is it brighter than your other multi emitter lights?
I know right! Its crazy! I dont know the lumens but I can do a 10 meter lux measurement in a day or so. I will compare it to my 12x lights. I just don’t know how long this thing is going to live! Atleast the switch anyway. Haha! I can tell you one thing, shining it at the ceiling, I cannot look at the spot. It is blinding just like my 12x lights.

they sold out already… found one on ebay for $66.88 but it’s black color… I wonder if there’s any different.

edit: from the same seller supernight 12T6 is $68.88 dang it, for $2 more you get 12 LEDs instead of 9, but question is… is it brighter?

Wow that sounds like a beast and knowing your builds if you do mod one it will be completely crazzzyy.
I might have a similar looking one that is 12x XM-L2 coming from Light Castles for review. I’m not sure yet because they haven’t sent me a confirmation but they did ask me to pick another light for review and I picked this one. They just asked me a couple days ago and said they would notify me when they ship.
Not a bad price at $80 either.
Please post picks of that driver if you end up taking it apart. I really wonder what is under the hood of that one.
Tmart sent me a message about reviewing a light for them. After many emails, they said they would send the light to me but I never saw it. This was 3-4 months ago. :~
I wonder if that 12XM-L2 light has aluminum or copper MCPCBs? Please let us know when you get it!
I will do some lux measurements and take it apart in a day or 2 if I have the time. I will definitely do it by this weekend. Along with beamshots. I read/saw somewhere that these 9x lights have the same driver as the 12x lights.
