Great little EDC light very bright for a single AA battery flashlight, even brighter with a 14500. 3 Modes. In order are 1st Low 2nd High 3rd Medium. The only change I would have made is to have momentary on but that’s a personal preference. I’ve had the light for 2-3 weeks already carrying it daily and using it as much as I can no problems with it yet. Barely notice its in my pocket its pretty small I own some AAA flashlights that are almost the same size. The glow ring at the bezel is a great addition as well. Great price also only $15.99 on Amazon Thorfire TG06 . Anyone else have this light ? any thoughts on it ?
Its surprisingly sturdy. It hasn’t snagged on anything yet the part that curves up at the end of the clip doesn’t stick out much and the knurling is isn’t going to destroy your pocket
Hmm looks nice. I like the tail clicky, anti-roll head, belt clip. The UI is ok, but i think i would prefer LMH. It’s a little more than I want to pay for a AA light, I think I’ll wait to see if the price comes down.
I spoke to them about the UI. At first I didn’t like the UI but after using it I started to like it for around the house use and EDC carry its more of a moonlight mode. Forgot to mention has a OP reflector.
I haven’t tried the TG05 it looks good I’m just not a fan of all those modes. I prefer a more simple UI. 5 modes is just annoying thats just my personal preference though. The TG06 also takes the 14500
It is pretty thin compared to most AA lights I own or have seen. Only things I would have changed is adding a momentary on and a smooth reflector has pretty good throw as it is though.
Well thanks to your mini review here, I picked one of these up. Seems to be a good solid AA light. Thank you for your review and I am running a 14500 in mine which makes a world of difference. It may replace my MicroStream with the 10440 battery as my primary work light due to the longer run time of the Thorfire TG06. I actually like the UI, but there is a tiny bit of PWM strobe on mine on the Moonlight setting, not a big enough deal to worry about for this price. This would be a bargain at $10, but it is a solid light for $16.
