I have a bunch of drivers that I’ve been collecting/buying, but as I said, almost all of them have been 16mm or 17mm. I’m still checking if I have another 20mm other than the LD-2C, but I don’t think so.

Yah, I’d like to mod and have some modes on mine as well. Already did dchomak 18650 single cell mod and did greased lightning on the bezel.
Anyone try that extension from the light from fasttech yet? Think I have to go get one of these tomorrow to mod

I linked an ebay light somewhere in this thread, its a trustfire a8 clone that fits, instant single cell 18650/26650 stubby, I just prefer full tube and the ebay light is too good a modded beater for work fir me tbh.
I think it was an xpower or something a bunch of posts back. It was a 1/2 26650 light... I would hate to buy a light just for the tube and toss the rest

Question; Just bought two of these and plan on keeping at least one of them stock (checking more stores to see if i can grab more than two). Has anyone tried or know of any other batteries that can work in this light stock? I know 3Cs work but what about Sub-C or 22650, etc…… Dont want to throw 3x 22650s in and fry the driver! Looking for a good source of rechargeable batteries for this light. Might have to grab 4x rechargeable Cs

@Livinloud I ran this light so far off 18650 with the spacer mod and with that same sleeve, I also tried 3 AA Eneloops, ran nicely.

Basically, if you search for “26650 flashlight” and pick one that is not a zoomie, there’s like a 99% chance that it’d fit the DST.

Well, I will find out just ordered 5 cells.
So, I have a 3 cell DST, will try OEM, and watch for Smoke Signals, and I will but 5 in the 5 c cell Defiant, after I put in a MT-G2. So everybody says it is DD, so my reasoning is the 5 x 1.2 is 6 volt, just right for the MT-G2, then I doubt that those green cells will deliver 9.5 amps, but maybe 5, so that should make a nice MT-G2 mod J) J)
I saw that one show up on FT and considered it for the DST. The design would actually somewhat match the head too. Queuing it up for my next order.
I know what lights to get tubes off from, but I would rather buy a light with an extension tube that I can use, instead of buying a light just for the tube and toss the rest aside
but looking at the x-power, the extension tube wont work alone
Someone posted a $15 and then later a $10 deal alert for a 2 x 26650 light from Meritline. It wasn’t advertized at a 26650 light, but it takes them. The light came in brown and pewter (silverish, but darker). That light’s body screws into the DST head. It wouldn’t light up when I did it, but I didn’t try to figure what was the issued. I don’t think the threads are anodized. I just made a mental note that I could use it for that. I will try take a picture tonight and post.
