Different varieties of Gochujang?
Isnât that like âPeruvian Chickenâ? I saw a few independent restaurants with that moniker or at least part of, and it seems like A Thing, like⌠dunno⌠Tatanka Wings or such?
Sounds tasty, always wanted to go try it, but⌠($$$â)
That dewd who duked it out with Gojira?
No that was Kimchi ![]()
Type of food. Many korean spots offer it here
Not all are based on gochujang in my experience, but it is a staple indeed ![]()
White castle is so fast it makes its way into the toilet before youâve even taken the first bite.

Once the second-most common U.S. restaurant type, pizzerias are now outnumbered by coffee shops and Mexican food eateries, according to industry data.
Sales growth at pizza restaurants has lagged behind the broader fast-food market for years, and the outlook ahead isnât much brighter.
Tunas move pretty fast, and can be served as sushi, so thatâs pretty fast. Sushi is my favorite fast food.
Culverâs at the moment.
The fact that one has to spend close to $30 for a pizza these days may have something to do with that. It used to be a pretty fast cheap mealâŚ
I have been to a Culvers around here maybe half a dozen times in the last two years. I couldnât get a hamburger where the meat wasnât cold by the time it got to my table.. Last few times I got their Cod Fish⌠pretty good and always HOT !
The one by me is still 20 as far as I know, and is pretty decent. And thatâs out-the-door price, tax already included (at least if picked up).
The one near where I used to work made their pizzas so thin you could hold them up to the light and see through them.
Choinese fewd is also getting up there, close to 17 for a large order of gollic cheeken or similar. And that was last year. No idea what prices are today.
I remember when a small was 5-6 and large was 8-9. Might as well try to remember 1¢ Bazooka bubblegumâŚ
My own âfast foodâ today was a cooked chicken cutlet (sis got a bunch from some place, gave me a few) that I heated in the oven, sliced on the diagonal because theyâre skinny on one half and bulbous on the other, then laid it out on a mayoed sesame Kaiser roll and topped with sliced Roma tomater seasoned with s&p.
Total cost maybe 6bux (would be way way less if I did the chicken myself), but itâd probably be 10-12 if not more at a deli. And I used up a whole tomato instead of the usual filmlike slices they cut with a microtome at delis.
Point being, I havenât (had to) get fast food in ages. Way too pricey.
We recently stopped going to Wendyâs because they raised their prices once again.
Itâs not entirely their faultâthe minimum wage keeps on going up.
Now, just about the only place we go is a local restaurant called Johnâs.
Itâs not technically fast food, though they get the food to you pretty fast.
Some of you might remember that I thought that I got food poisoning from Johnâs at one point.
Well, that was a one-time-incident, and Iâm currently not sure if they were the culprit or not.
Anyway, the prices at Johnâs are quite reasonable given the quality of the food. ![]()
Oh, hey⌠anyone ever heard of a (new?) chain called The Smash Burger?
Got actual mailed flyers, which is what usually happens when a new place opens up. Some coupons stuck to it, including a BOGO, so Iâm tempted to try it. This way, even if ânot worth itâ at full price, getting stuff for half would ease the sting.
Next to it on the map is a Jersey Mikeâs, that I just assumed was in, well, you know, Jersey. Heard about their hoakies, but never had.
Yeah, it pays to czech out local eateries, if only by asking for a menu. That way you can scope out prices before âcommittingâ to go there to eat. Avoids sticker-shockâŚ
We havenât gotten pizza at a restaurant in a long time.
We do get frozen pizzas.
The thing isâwe only cook pizzas when itâs cold outside, and this winter has been especially mild.
Thereâs a couple of DiGiornoâs supreme pizzas that I like, and then the rest of my family usually get Freschetta pizzas. ![]()
They do good here, mybe just because itâs a new location.
