I doubt this will reach 50 people, that is a huge amount of people buying a light that no one seems to have tried or reviewed. When that is said. If its 28-30$, then Ill take one. Put me on the list! Wink That is one great looking flashlight! :)

its because they had just produced it and they have not been available for sale yet. from what they have said, i dont think any have been distributed to retailers even

they could have just programmed the driver for more modes maybe, im not sure. im going to ask for pics of the driver and dimensions of it too in my next email

three xml2s on noctigons costs north of $18. that brings final price up to about $46 now, which may turn more members off on it.

i will ask if they will be able to though and see what it would cost to get it done

Personally, if they are willing to customize this light, like use XML2's, noctigons, and drive the emitters as hard as is reasonable... I'd be willing to pay more, and up to ~$60.

I can see where that would turn away a lot of people.  $30 is a drop in the bucket.  $60 is something that a bit harder to swallow.

I am in for $30. I would love a NW emitter but won't push the issue.

Thanks for all of the work!

Might as well ask them if they will be willing to make it a "BLF" edition... better driver, and AR coated lens.

The driver doesn’t look the same as the skyray king here, it has a nice thick contact plate though.

lol

ill see what i can do with these customizations... NW xml2, noctagon, custom engravings, AR lens, different reflector, custom driver...

but now its starting to look like a custom made light, not a good budget alternative to the king

i asked them if it was the same size driver, and they replied it uses the same driver as the old m6 (king). they dont seem to speak as fluent english as most of the retailers over there though, thats why i was going to ask for a pictures and dimensions of the driver

I’ve been reading BLF’s for about a year but just now created an account. I’d like to get in on this group buy. I’ve been holding off purchasing a SRK but this is just too good of a deal to pass up.

The only guaranteed SRK to work well every time is from CNQ, and it's not as much of a budget alternative, IIRC it's ~$54 before shipping.

Hi,

There are a few questions the forum members are wondering about the light.

1: Could we get a picture of both sides of the driver along with a measurement of the diameter of the driver?

2: How much current goes to each LED in high mode?

3: What are the Hi / Med / Low settings? example:100% / 50% / 10%

4: Are the strobe and SOS modes hidden? If so how do you access them? example: press and hold switch for 2 seconds

5: How much will the shipping charges be, or is that included in the quoted $28.26?

There are also some customized features a few members would like to see if possible

1: The use of the newer generation XML2, and a direct bond copper MCPCB. I have included a link below as an example

2: Possibility for some members to purchase an old style m6 reflector seperate.

3: Possibility for a custom programmed driver.

4: Use of an AR coated glass lens.

Sorry for all of the questions and requests! They are a picky bunch over there with their flashlights.

Thank you ,
Nick

that is the email i just sent them. if i happened to miss anything, let me know!

I take exception to being called “picky”. Maybe the others, but not me….

JUST KIDDING :)!

Also too late, but re. 5, I would’ve suggested phrasing it more like “Does the $28.xx that I was quoted previously include shipping? If not, …”. Just a small point though…

I’ll take one. But it has to be nuclear powered and constructed of unobtanium. Must also include optional disgrontifier, framistam and atomizer pre-loaded with mime repellant (equally effective on clowns).

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.

My Reviews: Ma

For that price I would take one.
I’m sure someone can come up with a driver that we can set to “Stun”

texaspyro’s driver will spell “stun” out in morse code.

I had forgot about that feature Smile

Isn’t the S-O-S morse code also?
