The Efest Purple 14500 just did 4.95A in my little SS Ultrafire C3! XP-L emitter.
Edit: Check it out! Our very own SB did a review on this light some 5 years ago!!!
Ultrafire SS C3
Pic by Don, the C3 is on the left, the smaller one.

The Ultrafire SS C3 is a small light, not much bigger than the cell itself. It’s got an orange peel reflector but makes a pretty nice beam profile. Here’s how it tested with the 4 different cells I have, with some cooldown time in between em…
Efest Purple 14500
4.95A for 1083.3 lumens at start, 931.5 lumens at 30 seconds with the cell at 4.13V ending.
AW IMR (Red) 14500
4.52A for 1000.5 lumens at start, 824.55 lumens at 30 seconds with the cell at 4.12V ending.
Windyfire IMR 14500
4.59A for 1038.45 lumens at start, 893.55 lumens at 30 seconds with the cell at 4.10V ending.
Efest Red IMR V2 14500
4.51A for 1041.9 lumens at start, 890.1 lumens at 30 seconds with the cell at 4.10V ending.
All cells taken off the charger at Full. The Efest Purple are brand new, just got em yesterday, with the Windyfire the next newest. The AW and V2 cells have been with me for a while but barely used, mainly in a few tests.
The Efest Purple 14500 might be a hair better but it’s a close call, any of these 4 will do a great job in the new Paired release when it hits. I’ll double check the sample on these 4 cells and see how it performs as compared to this A17DD S08 driver C3. I’ve got 7 modes on this one, but not TK’s firmware. Spring bypasses top and bottom. ![ ](https://budgetlightforum.com/images/emoji/google/wink.png?v=12)
While it’s been said many times that Stainless doesn’t conduct heat well, this tiny light gets hot, fast! Each 30 second test was almost enough to make it too hot to hold to get the cell out so the light could cool down for the next cell test.
So be forewarned people! The FET driver in a tiny light makes some serious hand burning heat!
