I am interested in obtaining a BLF LT1M-Mini.

I love my BLF LT1 and have recommended it to others as the best lantern. I have the version starting when C to C charging works, but before it could be used as a powerbank.

Will the LT1M-Mini also be able to serve as a powerbank?

Hank has tint ramping D4Sv2 and D4v2 that can accommodate LH351D. Just to put it out there for competition purposes. It just needs a good diffuser/lantern attachment.

Barry said in mid-October that they were going to make a few prototypes for testing and evaluation. I’m not sure how long it takes to set things up but I’m hopeful that the prototypes will be ready soon.

If it’s really for camping and backpacking, why no red LED’s? White light attracts bugs, red doesn’t. If this had fairly warm white light and red, I’d be all over this. The LT1 is a great lantern, but can’t have it near the camp kitchen or we get swarmed with bugs. A red light to see where you’re going, and a campfire is the ticket.

A red LED is planned for next version.

That would be awesome. Would be nice if Sofirn would offer the same in a LT1 as well

For the planned possible LT2 larger (four 21700) Deluxe model a third Red light channel is planned.

Marvelous – here I am, happily thinking “all finished, once these 5 LT1Ms are manufacturered/delivered and that DM11” and someone casually mentions an LT2 and a third channel! Wink

What about just using a red filter? Fashion a canted filter to match the slope of the LT1 translucent lens, then put on the inside…

If bugs are the only reason, amber is a much better choice than red since bugs that are attracted to like are attracted to the blue/violet/UV end of the spectrum.

As far as red and “night vision”, well that’s a whole ‘nother debate/can of worms I’d rather not have opened in this thread lol.
