OP list is core.
Mr Scott sorts it and gives us the order for the 555 at $111 then the $150.
I hadn’t updated the core list for 11 pages and did it this morning. At some point Mr Scott does another round of sorting (some people have asked to be removed so all move up a bit this time)

Speaking about customs, I’m actually a bit worried about the weight and size of this beautiful beast causing issues with custom rules in some countries. Any estimates on the box dimensions and total shipping weight? Thanks!

So the updated list is not the sorted out one. That’s done by Mr. Scott?

Is the advance payable to everyone or only the first 555?

@The Miller

Is it possible to update the core list with blanks to see how many dropped out?

This gives a nice indication on where everyone is in the list.

I wondering what kind of box will the put the light in? Lumintop’s usual brown box or something different altogether?

For those talking about taxes in Europe… grow up. We pay taxes to have decent countries. Sure, I’d like things to be free too, but this is real life. Building roads, having a decent education, healtcare and retirement means paying taxes. Don’t like it? Go live in a forest.

Sorry for going off-topic.

I am so happy that you are satisfied with what the government does with your tax money. I think the nearly punitive and extortive ways that import taxes are levied is unfair and that is why many of these folks are worried. I live in the US and don’t have the same issue as others.
I do, however, know for a fact that I am way more efficient than any government could ever be with my hard earned money. In that same vein I do absolutely everything I possibly can legally to ensure that they don’t a single penny more than necessary from me. Perhaps the Canary Islands local government has the best taxes to benefit gained by the populace, I just don’t know. I am glad you are happy to patriotically pay as much in taxes as you can, however I don’t think you should judge other members without walking in their shoes.
Now then: BACK TO THIS BEAST

Can a hard shell case with sponge cutouts be a possibility for this light ? (Like the olight M2X-UT or M3X)

Safety for the light during transit (as its heavy, needs more protection i guess)and carrying it will become easier with a case.

I know it’s a far fetched idea, can be sold at an extra cost or separately as an accessory like the idea of a short tube.

Just my 2 cents.

Would be awesome for sure!
Hard case 20
GT + set orings and lens 250
Short tube 10
8 cells 48
2x lii500 charger 50
$378 / ~$400 excluded shipping seems an OK (but expensive nevertheless Wink ) price to ask for such set.
Not that it will be a groupbuy thing but I can see LT do it.

So I quite possibly missed it, but is DHL the only shipping option? I agree that tax evading is not nice, but at the same time I’m not sure if I want to cough up another extra 40-50 euros Sad

There are DHL and an alternative shipping option. The alternative ships in 2-parts so 2 parcels.
You get to choose which shipping option when doing the final order.

Alright, thanks!

Will the light be listed online with the retail price ($249) when the GB light is shipped? Because for sure, DHL will pick that price for taxing.

I think you’re right. That happened to me once. But if the light is shipped in 2 boxes, the content can be named flashlight parts. Maybe that won’t have to be listed by LT. In the case that everything that is shipped has to be listed for legal reasons, it could be listed with a really low price, like $14. But with the label “sold out” or “discontinued”.

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

The Miller is leaving blanks in the “core” list. (See #249, #313)

I am not including the “blanks” in my sorted list. If I did, ‘blank’ would be taking up one of the coveted top 555 slots.

So basically the “sorted” list will be like the 1st list on POST #3. Where blanks are not counted and 2nd lights are moved beyond 555??
