A little elbow grease and some wet-dry sandpaper, a liberal application of Mother’s Billet Polish, and you’re in business.

Dale, I remember that light well, I’m still keeping that in mind for future damaged reflectors I receive however the damage on this reflector is deep into the metal, not just on the surface, I would have to remove a few thoul. of material, not just sand off the coating and polish.

I’ll get pic’s hosted soon.

BTW GB was more than happy with my offer, they took me up on it right away and even offered upgraded shipping (over NL post) to get it to me faster (I assume so I can post about how happy I am)

95% of the flashlights are black.
That is pretty boring.
I have 3 lights that are not black: The Roche F8 and one SRK Clone and one “NEW-612” in Grey. That’s it.

I would love to have different Colors. Maybe even a white one? Or dark Red, dark green, etc.

I just ordered another one. I showed mine to a friend and he wanted one, so I ordered one for him in black. Let’s see how the shipping goes this time!

While the black orders keep increasing, my little cuckoo again told me that the Gray versions will just might be delivered tomorrow.

Well, that remains to be seen. In the meantime, the waiting continues.

I just realized this:

Quote:
Lens: Toughened Ultra-clear Glass Lens with Anti-reflective Coating

Mine didn’t come with AR coating, and I’m almost certain there’s nothing at all special about the glass. Sad

That's typical Chinglish for "standard glass lens" Smile

About the gray, is it their plan to release the gray after the coupon has expired?

Ordered the Yezl Y3 with extension tube yesterday.

The Courui still is a nice light – even for 35$ it’s still cheap.
But for my plans, the Yezl is better. The Courui would be a pain in the arse to mod into a MT-G2 light – with the Yezl it’s easy and it has more cooling fins.

I was waiting for the gray, but I bought the O’pen of the GB GB. They have put it to back order.
I’ve frozen other purchases in GB until O’pen is sent. I’m so sorry, but I’m losing confidence.

I sure don’t enjoy the ‘discontinuance’ of OL’s Olight pen gb.

However, being a ‘veteran’ of failed gb’s due to MAP here in BLF, namely the Niwalker Vostro and the Crelant 7G10 with Doingoutdoor, the Nitecore EA41 and JaX Z1, both with Gearbest, I can’t help but feel sorry for the vendors and other organizers here in BLF of past failed gbs due to MAP or some other reason only known to the manufacturer.

Personally I can’t blame the vendors. I believe no vendor would ever want a gb to fail. In my past experiences with failed gbs, it’s always the manufacturer’s side that cuts or shuts off the deal, leaving the vendor with no choice but to cancel the gb, regardless of the status of the gb’s progress.

That’s true, but we cant’ fault PP/credit card companies too for they give us protection and we use their services for a fee.

Things like these are unfortunate realities unluckily.

Yes.

In this case the guilty is who does not take precautions … If the seller does not takes precautions the buyer should take. For this reason I’ve banned BG.

O-L says the lights are being shipped anyway. So it would appear that the OPen issue is working itself out. Wink

We’ll see, I guess. I had to sign up with GB to make that purchase. If it goes through, then perhaps I’ll be buying other things from them as well. If it doesn’t, well….

As an aside, a friend of mine ordered this Courui D01 from this buy and had it sent to me to fix up for him. So we’ll see too if that one goes out in a timely manner.

Oh yes, OL’s Olight pen gb is alive again.

I hope the gray version will materialize this week too, all in a timely manner as hoped.

I don’t want to pay any extra money, so I asked for a half-price refund via in-store credit.

I don't understand... The Gray one is now listed at $31.04 on a timed special here, only $1.05 more than the Group Buy price? the gbcourui code still does not work on gray.... Seems like you can order the gray one now for just a buck more, so maybe this is it? Maybe this is the deal they will have for the gray version? Seems silly to just save $1 to wait for the GB offer.

Sounds like DX's trick of putting an item on sale just to find out it's out of stock, backordered, and get refunded!

I stumbled across the exact same page yesterday while looking for information on UV emitters, thought it was quite a conicidence with this special price going on here. I got to it by clicking a link on a dealers page, but don’t know where.
