Along with Fenix E01, the Sofirn C01 legos perfectly with the Klarus Mi02.

Anyone know what other lights have threads that Astrolux S41/S42/S43 (Mateminco S01/S02/S03) tubes would lego with?

Trying to find more attractive 18650 and 18350 tubes for a new Astrolux S43S that is on it's way. (Copper head, alu body version).
Both the S41S and S42S have editions with lovely Stainless/Coloured tubes, tails and bezels. But they never made these complete editions of the S43.

I have already ordered the official 18650 tubes in SS from Banggood which are available separately at reasonable price.

Astrolux - separate SS 18650 tubes

They also have matching tails in SS available separately - but only the S41 version with button.

S41S - Tail with button

The S42/43 flat buttonless style doesn't seem to be available separately. Neither do the shorter SS/Coloured 18350 tubes seem to be individually available.

S42S Tail (no button)

I've contacted Mateminco (OEM) to see if they can supply these body parts separately. Besides, their stock S03 tube (Black Alu) is much nicer than the completely smooth plain tube they supplied for the Astrolux S43. The Mateminco version has rather cool finger indents!

Mateminco S03 - 18650 stock tube

Would the multitude of available tubes (many of which I already own!) for the BLF A6 / Convoy S2+, work with the Astrolux?

BLF A6 / Convoy S2+ - 18350 Tubes

Even better, would the Lumintop FW3A/FW1A tubes or Bezel lego with any of these - A6/S2+/Astrolux S4x?

FW3A - SS Bezel head ringFW3A - SS Bezel individual

There are beautiful copper, SS & Ti 18350 tubes available separately from Lumintop that would be perfect if they work...

Many thanks as always.

I'm sorted with the Stainless tubes now on an Astrolux S43S - but still can't obtain a matching bezel.

Result is that it will lego with the currently available (from my own experience) BLF A6/X6 and Astrolux S1/X6 tubes. (NOT Convoy S2+ tubes.)

So last black section left is the head bezel! Have written to Mateminco and await reply even if it has the S41 or S42 text etched.

In the meantime, would anyone who has an Lumintop FW3A/FW1A and an Astrolux S41/42/43 be kind enough to check something for me:

Would the Lumintop FW3A/FW1A Bezel lego with the Astrolux S4x?

If the threads work I can get one of these, even if it needs padding to hold down the lens.

FW3A - SS Bezel head ringFW3A - SS Bezel individual

Thanks as always BLF community!

Not having the Astrolux, I would say NO, just because of the diameter! The S4x Lights are quads, while the FW3A is a triple.
The diameter of head and the bezel is probably larger on the Astrolux lights!

Maybe someone can check this, but I guess my hint is correct!

That was my assumption too, however the bezel on the S43 actually narrows much more than the full width of the copper head. (Unlike the FW series shape where the head is uniform all the way to the bezel.

I’ve measured the Astrolux bezel as being ~26.9mm – 27mm. (Diameter across the widest point).

Please could you see what your FW3A is, even if just with a ruler? Then I know whether to bother looking into the threads!

Ta very much.

These are the threads of the FW3A and the mesaures of the head threads an bezel (in and outter diameter)!
I hope it helps Thumbs Up

Wow thanks for all that!
It certainly helps me save a fiver on a SS bezel that wouldn’t fit the light! Removing from my basket now.
You were spot-on – I had no idea the FW3A head would be that much narrower.

Glad it helped Wink
The quads are larger than the triples, unless the flashlights are highly moded to be narrower. Vinh (Skylumen) made a FW3A fit a quad MCPCB and Optic, but he had to “trim” that to fit well. Using normal optics and MCPCBs, the quads will always be larger.

You can check if the bezels of the Emisar D4V2 or KR4 fit, but those will be probably larger and the thread will be even less similar. But maybe someone can help on that Wink

Sure, you can see the Mini-GT as a fair sized tail led for the D4V2.

Hmm, you must be correct, there's a reason for it being called a "Mini", right.. ?

Does your S2 have the yellow/glow in dark tail click switch? Maybe Simon has changed the S2? S2

Simon still denies they will fit the S2

There are now two versions of the 18350, rectangular or trapezoidal
S2+ Gray/Black Tube

Mine came with a black rubber tailcap!
It was this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1707184225.html

The tube was the one you linked, and by that time there was no distinction Sad

Simon also said that to me at the time, but the tube fitted the S2 and the S2+ .

Is the bottom picture of your tube which fits the S2? Gray color? If so, I’ll ask others for help in identifying if it is rectangular or trapezoidal

I just checked and it is trapezoidal Wink

EDIT: I have 2 of them and both are trapezoidal!

FWAA body can be used with Foursevens Mini Turbo.
In my case, it was FWAA TiCu and Mini Turbo Alu.

However it’s a bit useless to do so because the switch is an e-switch Big Smile

You can always try to mod the switch of the FWAA Wink Not ideal, eventually, but it works Wink
I did it with mine: https://budgetlightforum.com/comment/1797587#comment-1797587

Cool MascaratumB!
I think I’m gonna try that switch mod.

Last night my 14500 battery suddenly depleted.
Quick voltage check using Nitecore F1 charger shows only 2 volts but my VC2 charger says the battery is full Facepalm
It makes my FWAA is practically not in use until I get a new battery. It’s not easy to find good one here locally.

Ha! This is a very nice find, I wonder how come I've skipped over it until now..

Anyways, I believe the proper fit should be for the tail switch versions, MT20C or MT10C:

 Nitecore MT20C & Jaxman C8 Mini Body + Tailcap

Also, while not a straight fit, I've found that a C8 Mini version (Jaxman in this case - not all C8 minis might fit tho I suppose) with the need of a conductive ring/spacer would be a better proportioned fit with its thinner tube and tailcap.

I’m not sure how common these tins are around the world, but the plastic lid of my Lavazza coffee tins are a perfect fit as a protective cap for the Wildtrail WT90. But although it clamps, I will use two bits of cellotape as well because the WT90 bezel has no rim around the outside of the bezel for a firm clamping action, like the coffee tin.

Does anyone know if there are 18350 tubes for the S6? I clicked the link that edeekeos posted in this thread but it looks like the black tubes are no longer being produced. There are silver versions available but I would prefer the black.

There seems to be identical items on AliExpress but the seller ratings are pretty poor so I would like to avoid going that route and avoid the headache, even if it’s just items which are a few dollars.

Are there any other options I can look to for an 18350 tube for the Convoy S6?

If not, I guess I might try my luck on the silver tubes on Banggood…
