It was me. I got it for $49 with batteries. I used the promo code sofirn provided in ther 11.11 tread and also my aliexpress coupons. If you combine those and the paypal coupon you get that price.

It happens all the time. I have pre order stuff with discounts and then on black friday it becomes cheaper. You are not guaranteed the cheapest price just because you pre order. You did not fund the project, your name is just in a list of people who would like to purchase it.

I get that, but you would think before selling for a lower price to the general public, they would have given codes to everyone in the group buy at least. That and the previous issues with the “codes”, seems poorly run.

I’ll just go buy it now for cheaper, no skin off my back.

From going through the checkout process, without actually buying it, the code only brings the LT without batteries down to the group price. Other coupons based on amount purchased could bring the price down of course.

Those buying the LT1 from that site, don’t expect to get it any sooner. AE is selling you a light that is not even built yet or have in stock for open sale for public sale that we know of, (most likely if they do its from the 1st batch, because there is a delay in the 2nd batch due to LED supplier issue, (See post below)

Also an update from the manufacturer came in, the supplier for the Samsung LH351D has a delay in supplying all the LEDs needed, and due to that, there will be a delay in the 2nd batch to be released at the end of the month or later.

Barry did write in an earlier post (many pages past) that the GB folks would get their lights first.

So should I wait then for group buy if I just see a cheaper price?

My lantern finally arrived.

Very nice, particular tuned all the way to warm. Getting used to Anduril lights now. The Sunset mode works great.

Also, I got a bonus. When I opened the box, a largish spider came out, all the way from China.

PS: hope I can get the second one I signed up for, eventually.

How did ppl get it for $50? I ordered it with an SP10S and paid £51.48 ($66.15). I applied the new user discount any other coupons I could including the 11:11 code.

There should be a more accurate manual, and some minor firmware differences… but with the way these things seem to go, there is no telling what differences you may find.

If that spider is female and carrying eggs, you may have introduced a new species to your country Glasses

Thats probably how the Emerald Ash Borer came to the US and wiped out all the Ash Trees over the last few years.

It is always best to open packages from abroad with a can of hairspray and a Bic lighter close at hand.

Yep. There are many examples of that sort of disaster happening. The citrus industry in Florida is threatened with a wipeout because of some disease that they figure was brought here by someone illegally importing some orange tree cuttings. In the past, we also made the problem ourselves by importing a species of something that was supposed to be the cure for some other problem.

I don’t like how vendors exaggerate the rating on GAs, but I agree that they are a good match for this application. I heard that $6 more will get you a set with matching LT1 covers, but I forget where that was.

Maybe because 3450 mAh is not a round number? I have a bunch of these cells and even after repeated abuse 99 % of them still measure 3450 mAh +- 30 mAh. I would have called them 3400 mAh just because but hey. All manufactures mAh ratings are lies if you ask me because the testing is done at such low amperage and measured down to 2.5 volts. The NCR18650GA is my go to when non protected 10 amp and or high capacity cells are needed.

I’m partial to them too. They’re going to be my Go-To for “low” power lights like the A6, SC31, etc.

I like how the factory believes in “under-promise and over-deliver.” If you look at their spec sheets, they’re only rated as 3300, yet are expected to have a minimum capacity of 3350 and a typical rating of 3450. I can respect their modest promises. Like you, I am even OK with them being advertised as 3400. After that, it’s just a slippery slope that leads to calling them GIF 9900 or UltroFire 5800.

I find it very interesting that not one person has posted about another delay for those on the list in acquiring this lantern? This time something about them not being able to get the LEDs.. It was stated that this would be another month, or more! I’m sure that takes us into Chinese New Years…. so we’re most likely looking at many more months. Yea, It bothers me, because the lantern has excellent reviews and who isn’t anxious to get theirs, it’s been a while Smile

I don’t know why there isn’t some Manufacturer rep who can be transparent with us, except that isn’t normal behavior for a human being. You simply can’t fault honesty.

Meanwhile I’ll just continue to look at the posts of those who have already received their lanterns.

(wouldn’t change anything, but would like to know how it happened that THEY cannot get LEDs now)

…. call me impatient -
