2S Bistro OTSM now on all sizes but 15mm available, 15mm 1S OTSM implemented with design change

Attiny 25V running Bistro OTSM
or
Attiny 85 running NarsilM v1.2 with latest version with fixed bugs
Narsil manual, a lot options to configure this one

NarsilM information here

If you want fully assembled and tested drivers reply here

This batch will be reflow soldered on a temperature stabilized hot plate

New Boards from Seeed received with solder stencils

Available options:

there are different sizes available
15mm for 14500 lights
17mm for most Convoy, Eagle Eye, BLF A1 lights
20-22mm for various lights with this size
20.5mm Astrolux S42, 21mm thin board for Skilhunt H03
38.5mm Courui D01
40mm
42mm for Truenite TN42
46mm SRK
47.5mm Q8, MT03, MF01, MF02

also ready for the BLF Q8, Astrolux MF01 / S42 and Haikelight MT03

2S Q8 not tested yet will likely follow when the new LED board comes out for 5050 footprint

HaikeLight MT03

Astrolux MF01

Astrolux S42

boards tested successfully

2S boards are now available in FET+x+1AMC or FET+1+indicator LED output, by adding solder bridges to change pin out

Information about this TA driver series here, notice that my drivers are developed further and have slightly different design

This time will be using the SIR404 FET as there will be likely a lot high current builds
You can choose a custom number of 7135 less than the maximum

Drivers will be fully tested

NarsilM driver can be thermal calibrated as well
you can choose the temperature for step-down, but change it later in User Settings
the time for step-downs depends on the lights size/heat, a pocket rocket off a 14500 high drain will need a shorter time than a Convoy L6
standard will be 60°C
standard step-down time 45s

2S LDO mod is available for all sizes now

efficiency advantage over Fet+7135*1

this is just an example, keep in mind that triple hotrods get more gain than a single emitter light

Connections:

new boards

Springs:

for 17mm Board will be phosphor bronze in 2 lengths
for 15mm board the short spring fits (the long upside down but risky)
All drivers come without soldered springs, to stay below 10mm envelope thickness which is 2.2€ cheaper to ship

long spring

Or
short spring

For larger boards those springs are good

I have now 0.35, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.5mm high flexible silicone wire for the drivers
0.75mm² max for 17mm drivers
0.12$ per inch
prices reduced to half of 4. batch as the shipping costs are relatively low for a bigger order

1.0mm² for 22 and 30mm drivers
1.5mm² for SRK
0.2$ per inch

Prices:

15-22mm
14$ Bistro HD OTSM Attiny25V

Would you like to post a Q8 OSH-Park link?

Thanks

put me in for a 22mm bistro 3v
and 26mm 6v bistro with springs
with post to Australia

thanks

If its OK I can equip them with the PSMN3R0-30YLDX FET
its the same as in the BLF Q8
and costs 0.6$ less
The 26mm Board will be a 30mm one sanded to 26mm

I will start this batch when I can confirm the new AMC supplier has the same quality than the last one had
The I will order SIR404 FETs and other parts for this batch

I don’t know why the old supplier is not selling claw types anymore

I have here 3 blank Q8 drivers so if you need only one board its cheaper
board cost plus 1.15$ shipping

I have 2 Q8(one on the way), so I need 2 Q8 board.

that will be ok ,make it 30mm as I will make the light to suit
shoot me a pm with total costing thanks…

Ok
I am atm a bit low on LDOs more coming soon

I put you on Batch 4 list

I got only parts for OTSM Bistro left this batch and next I quit the TA one

Is it possible to get a TA Q8 driver flashed with TK’s Anduril?
If so I’d like one or two (depending on price):
(1)46mm Q8 Anduril no calibration, PO=(2B), SD=2.8V, 16AMC
(1)46mm Q8 Anduril no calibration, PO=(2B), SD=2.8V, 8AMC
Could you post or PM me the price in Euro’s and the price for shipping to Belgium in Euro’s please.

Would it be possible to get 8AMC’s seperatly if I want to add some to the 2nd driver?

Hi

it is possible to add the other firmware if you supply me the hex for it
as I am not familiar with Anduril I cant calibrate it like I am used in Narsil

I can build you the drivers and add 8 loose AMCs

OK, I’ll ask around if there is a Anduril hex file for the Q8. I’ll let you know as soon as I got it, if not I’d buy them anyway flashed with latest version of Narsil. Cheers.

Bookmarking this for future mods. Nice stuff!

It doesn’t look like there’s a HEX file for a FET+N+1 availlble for Anduril. So the latest version of NarsilM will do.
Do the siwtch LEDS blink while crossing from 1AMC to N AMC to FET?
Also, from what I understand (wich is as good as nothing) I cannot just add extra AMCs without recalibrating the driver software?

The Indicator LED blinks out after you stopped ramping which bank is active

You can add extra AMC7135s
The ramping table is a good start and gives good results on most lights,
it depends also how much the FET current is, like a single LED can draw on 17mm 2.45A from AMCs and 6A from FET
while a quad board draws 2.45A from AMCs and 12-15A from FET
for quads the ramping in FET will be proportional bigger,
the SRK sized have 5.6A AMCs to about 20A FET
but the steps in FET are the same its still smooth

ok thanks for explaining.
So I’m stil up for
(1)46mm Q8 Narsil no calibration, PO=(2B), SD=2.8V, 16AMC
(1)46mm Q8 Narsil no calibration, PO=(2B), SD=2.8V, 8AMC

Now that I have read through things a bit more, I am liking these even more.

When you can get to them,

(2) 30mm 2S NarsilM LDO 65°C, SD=6V, PO=(NO), lighted side switch, LED wires, no spring
shipped w/tracking please.

Not sure on the wire length, as I dont have the hosts (Convoy L6) in hand yet. Seems common enough I trust your judgment on that, just let me know.

Thanks,
Jim

I can do this in this batch, but I have to wait to stock up parts and 30mm boards

Sounds good. I am in no rush. Got several others in the works right now to play with.

Lexel, on the 2S boards for the L6, are you still using the 4700k resistor for the switch light?

4.7K ?

I use 20K

20K~30K are fine?
