Massive fraud on 18650s in the Littokala Aliexpress stores!

So, while I was looking at a nice low cost source for 18650s, I came again at the sight of the Littokala store. What I found was digusting!

Then I noticed. The price of all 18650s have been cut by half, but many reviews are saying that their cells have leaked, have very low capacity, and have too low discharge rates. I would not buy any batteries from any of the Liitokala stores

6PCS of Samsung 30Qs:

LG HG2s:

Samsung 25Rs:

I have not looked at more cells, but even if they were free, these are probably one of the worst deals that I’ve ever found.
You do not want to risk your life with these kind of cells

I have not checked on other cells from other supposed Liitokala sellers, but they should be about the same, selling fraudulent batteries and risking lives everywhere…

UPDATE!!!

The links above are for archive purposes. The seller has commited FRAUD and is not trustworthy

He has sold fake Samsung 30Qs, and therefore, he probably sells other fake cells.

The Liitokala Factory store IS FAKE, and is not the real Liitokala Official store.

UPDATE 2!!!

DO NOT BUY ANY 18650s from the Liitokala store, ALL OF THEM!

THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAMES FROM SAMSUNG 30Q TO LIITOKALA 30Q

This means, to be able not to offer refunds, they changed the cells’ name from OEMs to their own!

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!

Also, on post #283:

User ActiveAI has tested the FAKE LIITOKALA 30Qs to have 2x the internal resistance than the legitimate ones. This means the cells have been swapped with Panasonic NCR18650PFs/LG MG1s, which have 3Ah of capacity, but are only rated up to 10A continuous compared to the 30Qs 15-20A!

That means they sold an inferior cell to us!

Do not give them money. We need to punish them!

US $22.11 shipping to Canada :frowning:

Precisely why I didn’t order them immediately. Shipping kills it if you are not based to the US.

Is this seller reliable with no fakes? I have the LG in my cart. Want to pull trigger…

I looked for high discharge button tops in a good brand, but didnt find any.
Any deals anywhere on some BT for my Q8? USA

TIA

They are a reliable seller. Plenty of guys and gals have bought cells from them, no problems at all.

Button top Samsung 30Qs:

From the US:

Every item I bought from the Liitokala store was 100% real and genuine. Only the shipping in this specific case would kill the deal for some/most destination countries.

However, some items (guess not batteries?) can be shipped for free from them, I recently bought two chargers without any shipping charges.

Thanks for the links to the BT!

I am getting the LG from Ali now unless one of the others is a better option for flashlights.

It looks like there is more than one “LiitoKala” store. The LG HG2’s are cheaper at the “LiitoKala Official Store”. 6 for 13.61 free shipping to the US versus $15.46 free shipping to the US for the “LiitoKala factory store” store mentioned above. Don’t know if either or both are actually affiliated with LiitoKala.

Free shipping to PL.

So these prices seem a little too good to be true. Hmmmm.

I would not worry about it.

These are probably the price they get when they buy hundreds, or even thousands of cells in bulk directly from the factory.

They are probably at cost.

But I still do wonder why the prices got halved on both of the stores.

Maybe clearing old stock?

VTC5A for under $3/piece when buying 7 and $3.08 when buying 4.

Just ordered some using a $4 off coupon. Hope they’re legit!

Thank you ordered 6 30q

Weird…I just tried 2 x 6pcs. 30q cells, paid via Paypal, addressed to the USA but PP says “PP payment failed”

I chatted with customer service and she says some dealers don’t have PP even when the PP logo in their product page.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-Original-Battery-INR18650-30Q-3000m…

Has anyone paid with PP?

I just paid with PayPal and it worked, it cost $1.68 extra though. I really, really hope the batteries are authentic.

I just attempted to pay via PP again, and PP says: “We’re sorry, things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.”

That’s my third attempt.

Can anyone explain this? I have tried to contact PP support yet I can’t get in their system as my reason for my concern is not listed in their list of complaints.

Mmm, had to order some… I was yesterday giving a oxide removing vinegar bath to a couple cells (NCR18650B and 30Q) and somehow the rust debris being removed from their anodes ended up shorting the cells. I presume this could happen because the cells weren't lying straight up inside the glass container, as I had successfully done this that way before with no ill effects.

Any of you know if cell top insulators are attacked by acetic acid?

Cheers :-)

I’m not sure why it isn’t working for you. I ordered from this store. Your link in post #16 is not working.
