Kiriba-ru can make spacers. He just needs specs. And his prices are reasonable!

I measured it up ages ago when looking for options – I think I found a ledil and a carclo that would be close, but still not 100%.

Edit: from memory, the opening at the head is 25mm, in case you find a TIR with the “shelf” bit.

Thank you!

The M21A has the same narrow beam and weak flood light as the C8+?
As far as I can see, if the beam pattern is the same, the brightness is doubled compared to the C8+ (8×7135), which I could be interested in Flat Stare

Yes, because it is basically the same light with another name (due to the 21700 cell)

The output will be more thanx to the SST40 led and more powerful driver.

I saw a report on reddit that the current H1 batch has the new UI (similar to Thrunite), is that right?

some are updated

I assume it’s like the biscotti driver situation. Some old, some new, big pile, chosen at random. Who knows what you’ll get.

What size is the head? I have some 20mm and some 25mm round stock aluminum i can turn into a spacer. Just need to cut it the right height and drill a hole in the middle.

Simon, please feel free to correct anything I have wrong Smile (reflector shape isn’t accurate, though)

The main thing I don’t have in there is the indentation in the pill itself – as noted in this thread on /r/flashlight , he made a spacer with a cutout for the MCPCB and an extrusion to fit in the existing MCPCB “hole”.

Measurements in inches in image below.

Kiriba-ru made me 2 versions of the S11 spacer based on the dimensions posted to the Reddit thread. One was pure copper, the other was a copper core with a brass support ring to keep the optic in place.

I like the looks of the S12, that tailcap Thumbs Up

How does the beam look versus triple TIR, e.g. Carclo?

Very welcome updates to the other two as well!

Very interesting MCPCB though… might look into sense resistor mod for it too cause more than 2A per emitter would be good.

Please Simon, add 1mm more room for the cells in your 21700 lights Cash

It says “inner diameter 22mm” so I think it will fit Wink

S12 and M21B don’t have temperature protection?

What do you think is better – SST20 4000K or 219C 4000K?

I think they will have temp protection. It’s the new linear Convoy driver.

That M4U…. wtf. Side switch light running Biscotti? How?? Unless they have adapted the firmware to be used with an e-switch.

The inner diameter of my L21A is 22 mm as well, Samsung cells fit, but Shockli cells did not fit.

Adding 0,6 mm will make a lot of difference, or the cheaper manufacturers could just produce cells that comply with the standard 21700 = 21mm x 700 mm… Facepalm
