I think its similar like the BD02 with reverse-clicky (Omten 1288) side switch, as you can see here: https://www.taschenlampen-forum.de/media/albums/convoy-bd02-treiber-mod-...

any info about the UI on the S12? Would be nice to know if it uses regular attiny and it’s possible to flash Crescendo

Looks like Simon gave up using Crescendo or any other interesting firmware and just stuck his existing 6A driver in there. I think it’s this one .

Call me old fashioned, but i actually like that driver, no strobes, just 4 modes. I have removed the NTC to get rid of the temperature protection and i am very happy with it.

There’s nothing wrong with it, but I dislike mode memory most of the time and prefer an option to disable it. So Simon going from programmable firmware with options (Biscotti) back to fixed modes and fixed memory drivers seemed like a step backwards. If he had launched this one with an Atinny25 based driver with Crescendo, it would have also opened up the possibility to flash it with Bistro or other Atinny based firmware.

Edit: So it looks like the S12 uses a 22mm driver, if it’s the same 6A driver Simon already has. Kaidomain sells a 7135×12 22mm driver with Atinny13. Could have potential to flash something better. I’d like the S12 a lot more with programmable firmware on it.

Yes, i agree what’s up with it?
It seems he launched several new drivers, but it feels like a step backwards, at least biscotti offers a choice
Also i saw new drivers that seem to have solder pads to make a fixed choice ?

Simon, please offer more drivers with Biscotti, or even better the A6 firmware with the possibility to select following mode or previous mode (Or Bistro or Anduril or another option to reflash your own firmware such as with newer Emisar lights)
Everyone has his own preferred mode

Simon, maybe this will inspire Convoy ? EMISAR REFLASH KIT

Yeah I agree, 6A Biscotti would’ve been nice. Or even just one or two more low brightness levels.

The M4U looks interesting, but I wish there was an OP reflector available. Looks like an odd size. I like the smoother beam.

seems not welcome,
i’m ready to design titanium AA flashlight with better driver

Looking forward to this! Please have option to start on moonlight always and no PWM. Also please design to fit 16mm mcpcb for easy modding because so many boards are 16mm including the E21A and Optisolis. I will buy a bunch to mod if it has the above.

Simon’s thing these days is all mode memory all the time, so I don’t know about that starting on low thing. I wish Simon would just copy Reylight’s AA driver. Moon-Low-Med-High with 8 taps to enable/disable mode memory.

Thumbs Up Reylight has the best AA driver followed by Sofirn SF14 that I’ve seen to date and I own several dozen AA flashlights.

I wish Reylight made a cheaper aluminum body light like everyone else, just because I want their driver without paying $50 for a pineapple.

Snap. I bought the Ti LAN because of the driver. Now I don’t even want to use it for fear of damaging it Blushing Facepalm . It’s one of the most expensive light I have.

If he makes just 100% after 2 or 3 click, then there could be 4 regular modes and 1 “turbo”. Then make temp. limit to 65 degC and ability to disable memory and it is all I want. And I guess most of us. Smile

I really dislike mode memory, so these are not for me.

That’s a very sad news. Nevertheless I wish you luck with it.

I only ever want mode memory on e-switch lights where there is also a shortcut to at least moonlight, and preferably turbo or even more like on Anduril and Zebralights.

I really wish to find AA driver as good as Reylight’s.
Rey sold a few in the past but not anymore.

Please add a picture comparing the size to a S2+ and the 18650 equivalent in case of the M21B.

Please Simon, add 1mm more room for the cells in your 21700 lights Cash

It says “inner diameter 22mm” so I think it will fit Wink

S12 and M21B don’t have temperature protection?

What do you think is better – SST20 4000K or 219C 4000K?

The inner diameter of my L21A is 22 mm as well, Samsung cells fit, but Shockli cells did not fit.

Adding 0,6 mm will make a lot of difference, or the cheaper manufacturers could just produce cells that comply with the standard 21700 = 21mm x 700 mm… Facepalm

uh ,L21A is 21.5mm,friend
